Riding thru glacier rivers! - Sarah led us on a wonderful 3hr ride thru the glacier rivers. Saw swans and their young, sheep, and flowers. Cold and windy but a wonderful morning!!

Wonderful day! - We did not end up going on the glacier River Delta with waterfall tour because, after a half mile of writing, we were told that in order to complete the tour in the three hours allotted, we would need to “tolt” (Icelandic horse gait similar to a trot) most of the way. One of us had only been on a horse once before and the other was not relishing the idea of three hours of bouncing in the saddle. Our guide graciously returned to the barn with us, and listed another guide, and received a personalized tour with just the two of us and a lovely guide (Franka - my apologies if I misspelled it). We were able to go at our own pace, which did end up including speeds faster than a walk, as we chose. Our horses were wonderful. The scenery was spectacular. The weather could not have been any more perfect. It was a fabulous day and we very much appreciate the accommodation to our riding preferences. Well done!

Probably the best trek I have been on - There were three people in my group and we were all confident riders. The horses were simply amazing - properly forward going and keen but also safe. Probably the best horse I have ridden on a trek. Our guide told us about the local area and was very friendly. It was great to try tolt and we also had several opportunities to gallop. The scenery was just amazing. Definitely want to come back and do a multi day tour!

Sweet horses and fun ride! - We did a private tour with Giulia as our guide and had a great time! She made sure our helmets fit properly, taking the time to help us try on several different ones and made sure we were comfortable with our horse. We rode to the waterfall and crossed a few rivers. We were able to practice the Tölt gait a number of times as well! The horses we rode were well behaved and treated kindly. Our guide also knew so much about Icelandic horses and horses in general. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely come back for another ride!

Great guide, horses perfectly chosen for experienced riders - We asked for forward going horses as we are experienced riders and really got them. Our guide Janin was great, we were often going fast and tried different gates incl. tjölt of course. Janin has also told us a lot about all the interesting places around etc. We can higly recommend Hesta Sport for a riding tour even for experienced riders.
