Safe & Authentic Varanasi Experience like a local – Perfect for Solo Female Travelers and couples and family - I was planning a trip to Varanasi and although I had visited as a child, this time I wanted to truly experience it , stay for a few days and explore the lanes like a local. It was also my first solo trip as a female, and my main goal was to cover as many temples as possible. I spoke to a few guides, but Ravi ji stood out as the most humble, understanding, and reasonable person for my 2-day private tour. Since I was working from home during the trip, I only had early mornings and post-office hours free, and he was incredibly flexible in adjusting to my schedule. Over these two days, we walked through so many narrow lanes of Banaras, and he shared the deep history and stories behind the temples, which made the entire experience so much more meaningful. He planned my entire itinerary thoughtfully and even checked if I wanted to customize anything. Beyond temples, he introduced me to some amazing hidden food spots , delicious chaat and sweets that I would have never found on my own. What truly made a difference was how safe and cared for I felt throughout the trip. As a solo female traveler, safety is a big concern, and Ravi ji went above and beyond , he even checked on my accommodation beforehand and stayed in touch regularly to make sure I was comfortable. Even on days when we didn’t have a tour planned, he would check in and suggest places I could explore on my own. From stays to travel to tickets, he will go above and beyond to help out of you need . But more than just a knowledgeable guide, he is a genuinely kind and compassionate person who ensures you don’t just visit Banaras , you truly fall in love with it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe, well-planned, and authentic Banaras experience specially got female solo travelers .

Unforgettable Varanasi with Ravi ✨🤗 - Ravi is an exceptional guide to discover Varanasi. We had originally booked a morning tour to explore the northern part of the city (about 3 to 4 hours), as well as a boat tour on the Ganges in the evening (about an hour, followed by the Ganga Aarti ritual). Finally, Ravi offered to show us the whole city, from north to south, and spent the whole day with us, until the end of the boat ride and Ganga Aarti. Thanks to him, we were able to walk the small streets of Varanasi while learning a multitude of things about the city, its traditions, Indian culture and the lives of its inhabitants. Over the course of the day, we took a coffee break and had lunch in typical local addresses, far from tourist places. Ravi also took us to some genuine shops to discover and buy local products. He really knows how to adapt the visit to the desires, needs and curiosity of everyone. In the afternoon we visited the main temple before heading to Manikarnika Ghat, the main ghat dedicated to cremations. We were able to observe this impressive place while Ravi explained the ritual and its meaning in detail. The day ended with a sunset boat ride, offering a magnificent view of the ghats and the city of Varanasi. Since the Ganges, we have also witnessed a cremation ritual — an intense, unique and profoundly significant moment. Even the next day, for our last day in Varanasi, Ravi stayed available and advised us by message of other places to discover in the city. In short, our Varanasi experience would certainly not have been the same without him. Ravi combines professionalism, generosity and authenticity, allowing us to live unique moments in this fascinating city. If you want to discover Varanasi with a local guide who is attentive, humble, very accessible and able to customize the tour according to your desires, do not hesitate to book a second with Ravi. A huge thank you Ravi 🤗✨

An unforgettable day with Ravi!! - If you are looking to discover Varanasi with someone who knows this intense and deep city "like his pocket", you are at the right address! Ravi will guide you in HIS city (he was born there) and will make you discover it with all his presence and great availability (I will return to it ..). He loves his city, knows its nooks and crannies; he has made us appreciate it in all its nuances. Ravi takes the time, answers all our questions. And "icing on the cake": I had a visa problem; Ravi took his time to accompany me to the service of foreigners. Never seen a guide of such kindness!! Go ahead, you will not regret your stay in Varanasi with Ravi. Thank you again for this unforgettable day!!

Beautiful tour with Ravi - Really great tour with Ravi in the old town of Varanasi and its exceptional atmosphere (ghats, temples, alleys) ... Ravi’s explanations are clever and clear, you feel that he knows the city as his pocket. It has plenty of good places to stop (food, souvenirs) away from the crowds of tourists. In short, really an authentic day! Namely that he was also very helpful in organizing the upstream tour; that there he graciously helped us to renew a visa; and that he gave us good tips for the rest of our trip 🙏 Frankly our stay in Varanasi would not have been the same without him. Go ahead!

An Unforgettable Spiritual Journey Through Varanasi and Sarnath - Our time in Varanasi became truly meaningful thanks to Ravi Sahni. He is an exceptional guide with deep knowledge, humility, and genuine respect for the spiritual and cultural significance of this ancient city. One of the most memorable experiences was the early morning boat ride on the Ganges. Watching the sunrise over the ghats while Ravi explained the importance of the river in Hindu life, the meaning behind the rituals, cremation ceremonies, and the history of each ghat gave us a completely different perspective. His explanations were respectful, insightful, and helped us understand the spiritual depth of Varanasi beyond what we could have learned on our own. Ravi also took us through the old city lanes and to the Kaal Bhairav Temple, which was a very special experience. He explained the importance of Kaal Bhairav as the guardian deity of Varanasi and the traditions associated with visiting the temple. Without his guidance, we would not have understood the true significance of this sacred place. Another highlight was our visit to Sarnath. Ravi explained the story of Lord Buddha’s first sermon in such a clear and engaging way. Visiting the Dhamek Stupa and surrounding areas with his narration made the experience peaceful, educational, and deeply spiritual. What we appreciated most was Ravi’s patience and sincerity. He never rushed us, answered all our questions, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. He also shared many small details, stories, and local insights that made the entire experience personal and authentic. Ravi is not just a guide, but someone who truly cares about preserving and sharing the heritage of Varanasi. If you are visiting Varanasi and Sarnath, I highly recommend Ravi Sahni Heritage Tours. Because of him, our visit was not just sightseeing, but a truly unforgettable spiritual journey.

Ravi the Best Guide of Varanasi! - I'm a Dutch woman and I had only one day left in Varanasi. Besides the standard things like the boat trip on the Ganges, I also wanted to get a feel for the daily life and customs in this city. Ravi absolutely succeeded! He showed me some special places in Varanasi that I wouldn't have seen otherwise . He took me to the University Complex, which was very cozy and had a great vibe. There, we visited the Hindu temple and enjoyed a delicious cup of "real" coffee in the food court. Then we went to the Ganges by tuc-tuc, an experience in itself! During our walk through the city, we saw beautiful views of the Ganges and walked through the narrow streets of Varanasi. We saw an outdoor gym, a step well, and after a chat with the dentist with a street clinic, specifically designed for people who can't afford a regular dentist, we arrived at the flower market. Ravi explained everything very well; his English was perfect and easy to understand. He carefully guided me through this beautiful city; it was a fantastic tour

Best Tour Experience Ever!! - We spent two days with Ravi exploring the highlights of Varanasi. There were 7 of us travelling together and Ravi managed to keep us together amongst the hoards of pilgrims. We were here during the celebration of Lord Shiva’s Wedding. So millions of pilgrims arriving and also walking to the major sites. Ravi moved us at our pace, safely to all the important sites. He was very patient with us and taught us so much. He is born and raised in Varanasi, speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable about all things Varanasi. We also did the morning boat ride. This was so peaceful and beautiful! And again, Ravi was able to explain to us what we were seeing on the ghats. We were able to observe many rituals without feeling like we were intruding. Ravi is a very kind and caring man always considerate of his clients and the customs of others. We learned so much during our stay in Varanasi!! Ravi also communicated with me before our booking. I’d left things too late and was having trouble finding a place with vacancy for 7 people. Ravi kept making suggestions until we finally found a place not far from a ghat.
