Local Historical Sites and Hindu Mystical Experiences - I'm a man from Japan. He guided me to historical sites and scenic spots that only locals know about. I also had the opportunity to experience life as a Hindu monk. It was a truly mystical experience. To be honest, there were many unscrupulous guides in Varanasi. However, Golu was very kind and gentle, which put me at ease. If you ever visit Varanasi, I highly recommend asking him for help.

Varanasi memory with Golu - Back in 2018, Golu showed us around in Varanasi. He was very friendly and nice. He took us to a local chai spot and it tasted so good. He is genuinely a nice person!! 2018年とかなり前の話ですが、Goluさんにバラナシを案内してもらいました。インドでは色々な人に騙されて人間不信になっていましたが、Goluさんは良心的に案内してくださり、安心しました。しかもホテルまで送ってくれました。またバラナシに行った際はGoluさんに会いたいです!

A deeply spiritual journey through Varanasi’s rituals, alleys, and religious sites with an exceptional guide - English: I did the sunset tour with Golu alone – and it was one of the most impressive experiences of my trip in India. Golu is a wonderful tour guide with incredible knowledge about Hinduism, its gods, rituals, and especially the cremation ceremonies at Manikarnika Ghat. He explained the meaning behind these ceremonies with great respect and sensitivity, and helped me understand the Hindu belief in reincarnation. What I appreciated most was that Golu gave me all the time I needed at each place we visited. He never rushed me and answered all my questions in detail. We were even lucky enough to witness a private ceremony in a small temple from above through a wall opening – a truly unique moment. Along the way, he protected me from a wild dog and showed me a small wood shop for the cremation and explained how the process is working. Later, we visited an ancient temple that deeply fascinated me. To end the tour, we experienced the Arti ceremony at the ghats – an unforgettable moment full of spirituality. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour with Golu! English: I did the sunset tour with Golu alone – and it was one of the most impressive experiences of my trip through India. A Soul-Stirring Journey Through Varanasi with Golu — A Guide with Heart - I had the absolute pleasure of exploring Varanasi with Golu, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. As a solo female traveller, I'm very glad I met Golu at one of the temples as it turned out to be the most beautiful accidental encounter. He whisked me off my feet and took me on an incredible journey through the city’s most sacred and stunning temples, sharing his deep knowledge of their history and cultural significance. One of the most unforgettable parts of the tour was visiting the burning ghats, where Golu introduced me to the eternal flame that has been burning for thousands of years — an experience that was both humbling and profound. Knowing I had previously swum in the Ganges in Rishikesh, I mentioned wanting to do the same in Varanasi. Golu went above and beyond, organising a private boat so I could swim peacefully on the quieter side of the riverbank, away from the crowds. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience even more magical. Golu’s kindness, warmth, and wealth of knowledge made my stay in Varanasi truly unforgettable. He has a beautiful soul and a genuine passion for sharing the rich culture and spirit of this ancient city. I’m so grateful for our chance meeting at the temple that day — it led to one of the most enriching travel experiences I’ve ever had. I wish him all the success in his touring career because he truly has so much to offer. If you’re visiting Varanasi, I can’t recommend Golu enough. You’ll leave not only with a deeper understanding of this sacred place but with memories that will stay with you forever. Thank you Golu!
