Very impressive gardens - So glad I decided to include these excellent gardens during my day of outdoor attractions in Vancouver on an unseasonably warm, sunny day in October. Beautiful gardens, made even more enjoyable thanks to the addition of Barbara (volunteer) who accompanied me on a comprehensive, very knowledgeable tour of the gardens. Strolled around after the tour enjoying more of this must-see attraction.

Beautiful & Educational - We had such a great time here! Each section was so beautiful and unique! There are signs everywhere with a description of the flower, plant, etc which made it very informative and helpful! My favorite part was the bees!

Fantastic garden! - We went to Van Deusen garden in late September. Huge garden, recently refurbed visitor centre. Huge variety of plants and of interest to a keen gardener to complete novice. Far exceeded our expectations. Not cheap (‘$29 per person) but so worth it. Simple to get there by Uber.

Must Visit Attraction! - If you ever get to visit Vancouver than VanDusen Botanical Garden should be on your must visit list!! “VanDusen Botanical Garden is a 55-acre oasis in the heart of Vancouver with over 7,500 plant species and varieties from around the world! Spot and photograph local wildlife, find your way through an Elizabethan hedge maze, unwind in a serene setting, dine on the patios of Truffles Cafe or Shaughnessy Restaurant, or browse the garden-themed gift shop. VanDusen has something for everyone to enjoy! The Garden's multi-award winning LEED Platinum Visitor Centre was named Most Sustainable Building of the Year in 2014. Shaped like an orchid when viewed from above, its organic lines echo the way nature and conservation have been considered at every turn.” - Website This budget family friendly spot can either take an hour or hours depending on how you want to view it. I would suggest bringing lunch, water and a blanket. If not, they have a restaurant on site and they also have daily/weekly food truck/pod, the day we visited Japadog was hosting. If they didn’t have one in Los Angeles/Santa Monica then I would’ve considered eating there. (They are absolutely delicious) Come on a week day to avoid crowds, plan accordingly, so you can set up a nice lunch on the great lawn and remember to stay hydrated. This place is sooo beautiful, you have to give them a visit!

Surprisingly beautiful - We were looking for something to do in Vancouver since we didn't have time to go all the way to Bushart gardens. This was an inexpensive afternoon in a beautiful area of Vancouver. Well worth the Uber ride and admission.

Enjoyable time in nature - The garden is big with many different areas to see and enjoy. Very well taken care of and many paths are accessible which was great with our stroller. Loved seeing all the different plants, walking through the maze and enjoying the water.

It’s just a wastage of money.. - Nothing is memorable in this garden. They charge a lot from every individual.. There is just lights nothing else. The lafarge lake is better than this. That is totally free .
