Highlights
  • 14 Geelbek St - Our vessel is a 12 meter long and 4 meter wide catamaran which we specifically designed for shark cage diving and viewing.

You will need at least an Open Water One diving qualification to dive on scuba in the cage. Scuba divers are required to produce their in date dive card. Unqualified divers may breath hold or snorkel in the cage. Your own safety is our concern and surface viewing from the boat is truly spectacular as the Great White is a surface feeder.

The cage is a floating, drifting cage. Four divers enter the cage at any one time. A fifth person can be accommodated, however we prefer to allow the diver comfortable space to move freely. Scuba is available on request and is only given to qualified divers.

Our tours depart twice daily off-season (May-October), and up to three times daily in-season (November-April). The duration of the trip will be approximately 3,5 hours on sea.

We offer silver service and UNLIMITED, quality cage dive time. We offer a full educational on the Great White so that you come away learning about this awesome, apex predator. We do not harm or feed the sharks on our tours. Our motto says it all \

Very enjoyable and safe experience - It was a very pleasant activity! Don't worry if you are scared of doing it. It is completely safe. We did not get to see white sharks, but saw some nice ones! One of them even got to tackle the cage just in front of me, but again, don't worry, it's not something scary. PS: I am a brazilian and thought this was something just for tourists, but when I was at the boat, I discovered everyone else was south african, so this is an activity even locals do it a lot!

Great Experience - I had an excellent experience, staff, were very attentive, with the booking process being very easy , the transport from Cape Town ran smoothly , it was explained that the Great White are a little scarce at present but bronze whaler activity was excellent and saw 10 plus schooling in front of the cage so all in all a great experience. Certainly worth the money

Absolutely brilliant experience - We booked 2 places - 1 to go in the cage and 1 to view only. We were greeted on arrival by Edgar and we were invited to have some breakfast with the rest of the people booked on the trip (17 of us in total). After breakfast we were given a safety briefing and then headed down to the boat. After a short trip out to sea the anchor was lowered and the people going in the cage were asked to get kitted up in wetsuits /masks and the viewing guests asked to go onto the top level of the boat. The team started chumming and within no time at all we had bronzed whale sharks around us. There were 4 people in the cage at a time and they were in there for approximately 20mins. As this was diving without scuba gear when the sharks came close the team would shout down down down and you would go under the water to view the sharks in their environment. This was an absolutely fantastic experience. For those not cage diving the view was spectacular. After everyone had dived we made our way back and we were given homemade soup and a roll to warm up and watched footage taken of the trip. Absolutely would recommend.

Amazing start to the day! - Great morning spent seeing loads of sharks! Breakfast was good & the briefing made fun & informative. We were the 2nd boat out and hadn't even got our wetsuits on before the sharks arrived! It was great to see so many of them up close & personal. The trip was made better by the friendly & knowledgable staff. Lunch after the trip - home made veggie soup - was unexpected but delicious! Overall an amazing experiance & will happily come back next time!

Great Adventure - We had a fantastic shark cage diving adventure with Sharklady. All the staff, from the kitchen to the boat staff, were super friendly and attentive. We saw loads of bronzies, and the only thing that could have made this adventure better would have been seeing a Great White ... thank you Orcas 😒 ... hopefully next time though.

Feeling scammed :( - Booked a fun day out for family coming all the way from Australia. We bought vouchers ahead of time and phoned the week before. The night before I whatsapped to double check the time we had to be there and got the news that the boat engine was broken and there was no other boat. We would have to wait a week before trying to book again. My Australian family did not have much time in SA and we were stressed further bookings would be tricky so asked for a refund. We were told they would see what they can do and there have been multiple messages back and forth. But it is almost a month later and nothing. Over 5K was spent and family returned to Australia. I don't advise sharing this with tourists, your more likely to feel scammed then get a good day out despite the occasional positive reviews.

I believe its a scam - I believe this organisation to be a scam.....there are a number of reviews that support that if you look for them (I wish we had done so) and in fact our own experience supports this conclusion. We booked and paid a deposit in advance given that Christmas is notoriously busy. We e-mailed shortly before the scheduled event to confirm. We heard nothing in reply. Evenytually we got a reply via email after some paniced phone calls from us saying that they had an engine problem and might need to cancel. Then they cancelled the late evening before the date of the booking "due to poor weather". They assured us we'd get our money back (£500) in an email. Then they ghosted us until we posted a review of our experience and they made a false claim that we bought a special voucher and its in the T's and C's that we are not due a refund but we can use the booking again for up to 12 months if we fly back to South Africa. No it wasnt a special voucher is was a simply booking on the web site. We are not stupid. We read the T's and C's. Who would book something for £500 if the provider can cancel and you dont get your money back!! We've re-read the T's and C's and it doesnt say that anyway. I beleive its a scam.. A number of other people have had the same experience.

Beware, dive cancelled and no refund - We booked a private cage diving experience in advance of arriving in SA for a holiday. They cancelled on us the evening before the trip and promised a refund. They are now refusing to refund and offering us a different date which clearly isn't possible as we were on holiday. I wouldn't give this company any deposit and seems likely to be a scam
