Fantastic tour of Valpo - One of the best tours we’ve ever done & Sebastian is the best guide we’ve ever had. He was so friendly & patient, spoke perfect English & made everything run smoothly. He even waited for us whilst we had lunch & then took us back to our hotel. Having a private tour meant that we could see whatever sights we wanted plus excellent suggestions from Sebastian - he whizzed us around super efficiently via buses, ascensores & trolley buses as well as walking through the street art neighbourhoods. It would have taken us at least 2 days to do it ourselves. We visited the fish & vegetable markets, Pablo Neruda’s house + lots & lots of street art. We couldn’t recommend the tour more highly.

Spending a day in Valparaiso, an experience not to be missed - This is an amazing tour and completely worth it. Our guide, Paula, has live in Valparaiso all her life and clearly loves her city. The highlights were riding public transports and seeing the fish market.

Amazing authentic experience in Valparaiso - We really appreciated a full day walking tour of Valparaiso with Patatour Chile. It was a great experience starting with booking and planning our custom tour to the authentic visit to the fish and vegetable markets, eating a warm and fragrant humita, walking through the colorful streets of Valparaiso and a yummy lunch. Our guide Christian was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional and created a wonderful adventure for us. We were treated not merely as customers but also as good friends. If you are visiting Valparaiso or Viña Del Mar I would highly recommend getting one of the walking tours offered by this great company! Many thanks to you, Christian, we are very fortunate to have met you!

Great guide-wonderful day. - Cristian was as good a guide as one could have. He had great knowledge and insight of the city, and more importantly conveyed those to us. I have had guides throughout the world, and he ranks among the best.

Cristian is a gifted storyteller and you should learn about Valpariaso from him - I was so close to skipping this experience as I forgot that we had to travel to Valparaiso from Santiago for this tour (2 hours). But, I am glad I came to this experience. This is definitely one of my highlights from our Chile trip. Christian is super passionate about what he does. He is an amazing storyteller. The way he tells you feels like you are going back in time. We learned so much about Valparaiso and its culture. He is very patient with all our questions. The best part is he is an amazing photographer. We got so many great photos. I put most of them on instagram. You shouldn't miss Valparaiso if you are in Santiago. This city is 10/10. Must visit. To reach Valparaiso from Santiago, you can book turbus. It's convenient and cheap. Book the bus tickets online and be very careful of the boarding location. We accidentally booked the wrong bus stop to board from. And we had to take uber to reach Valparaiso. Uber cost us 120 USD, but the bus round-trip was 30 USD.

Entertaining and educational tour – highly recommend! - On a fabulous walking tour of Valparaiso, our guide Cristian knew many special routes with special places, because he is a hometown boy. The 6 1/2 hours flew by, as we walked through tiny passages, rode on funiculars as well as a train, and a bus, and explored the murals and other magic of the city. We even knocked on a residential door, where he knew the owner had delicious caramel cookies for sale. What a treat! We overlooked the harbor where Valparaiso started, plus the monstrous modern building that houses the National Congress, which was built away from the capital Santiago when Pinochet was in power. He was from Valparaiso. My husband and I highly recommend Cristian. Our time with him was entertaining as well as educational.

BEWARE OF VALPARAISO CHILE - The guide was good BUT did not warn me how bad the crime was in Valparaiso. Yes she told me not to take pictures in one area of the markets and to be careful about pickpockets. My husband died 16 days before my tour. He wanted me to do this trip. I was robbed of my husband's necklace with 3 charms on it and a $3,000 diamond necklace. Just what I needed after the man I spent 68 years with dies. He gave me the diamond heart years ago for Valentines and I wore his chain to have a piece of him with me. I don't know if the heart was visible because I put under my shirt earlier. If the heart was showing the guide should have told me. I also wore my diamond wedding ring. If there was that much danger, the guide Paolo should have warned me and not just told me not to take pictures in that area and about pickpockets. Afterward she called it an accident, no it was a crime. I never saw the man, just a quick grab of my chains from behind me. TOURISTS SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN TO AREAS THIS DANGEROUS AND CRIME RIDDEN.
