Vibrant and lively history of Valletta - We met Giacomo, who showed up in style in a complete pirate or, as we learned, corsair outfit on time at the meeting point. Before our eyes, Giacomo transformed into his alter ego “Alonso de Contreras”, who takes us on a tour of the evening Valletta into his life as a corsair in the service of the Knights of Malta, and repeatedly connects the turbulent episodes of his life entertainingly and knowledgeably with the history of the island and the locations in the city of Valletta. Almost incidentally, he lets us in on the dark secrets that are not in any guidebook... A great experience that we can only recommend to everyone!!! P.S.: Please note that the tour is conducted in English.

Unique tour- not to miss - One the best tour I ever had. So unique, so funny, and time passed so fast. This is more like private show that gives you different perspective of Malta history, and many interesting stories that is not possible to hear otherwise. Guide is so nice, helpful and above all so funny. This is not ordinary tour, this is special private interactive show on the streets of Malta.

History brought to life and fun! - This is a can’t miss tour! We purchased our tickets a couple of weeks prior to our trip to Malta and Giacomo sent us some restaurant recommendations along with snippets about each and tips for places to visit during our stay, along with historical information about each. He sent helpful links and we ended up going to many of the places and restaurants he suggested, and we were thrilled with them! The tour was unforgettable and Giacomo brought history to life as we wandered through the dark streets of Valletta, imagining what life was like centuries ago. The experience was live, interactive theater as we had the opportunity to engage in the stories he shared, he used props, and we asked questions along the way. The time went so quickly we hadn’t realized it was already time to go. It’s worth far more than the amount charged, as it was a full evening of entertainment. This is a one of a kind, unique tour that’s unlike anything else. I wish there were a Giacomo in every major city; he’s passionate about history and makes it fun to be a part of.
