A thoroughly enjoyable experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish. We were delighted with the food especially the filled croissants at the beginning , the liquor coffee and the meal at the end. Our tour guide was excellent, she had a fantastic knowledge of the history of the food and Valetta itself and was able to answer all the questions of the group, We walked at a perfect pace and had time to soak up the atmosphere . We absolutely loved it and would recommend that people take up this experience.

Marvelous tour - It was a marvelous experience. Marisa was an excellent guide, who combined the foodie tour with Valletta and Malta city and country history in one tour. Tasting was very good and fulfilling. This was my 3rd foodie tour( before I was in Athens and Venice). I could see the difference between a licensed guide and food lovers guiding. I learned a lot where the food is coming from, how knights had coffee and other yummy stories what only guides can tell. ( I am not telling this because I am a guide also. It is the way I felt). Excellent job.

Super tour of the city - We can only recommend the tour. There were many delicious specialties from Malta and a great guided tour of Valletta. The drink specialty Kinnie didn’t really meet our taste, but since the ghosts split, our friends recommended this drink again and again 😅 There were several delicious little things like manure puff pastry bags, a good morning coffee with traditional cookies and sandwiches. Allergies or requests for vegetarian dishes, even for individual persons, can also be announced before the tour. The tour was rounded off with lunch in a cool and beautiful vault. We had overslept and arrived half an hour later. It was easily possible that we joined the group at a later date. We were also brought the food from the previous station. A really successful tour.

Lots of food…more than a full meal so come hungry! - Lots of food…more than a full meal so come hungry! History of the knights and the city and island. I found that the guide Charlotte was expressing her opinions in the most (strongly) negative way. She portrayed the knights as greedy mercenaries that did nothing good for Malta unless it lined their pockets. We had a 3 cities walking tour the-next day and also toured Fort Elmo and the armoury at the grand palace and all those experiences gave us facts and a ton of information without expressing opinions. We rated the our a 4 star because it was extremely well organized, gave us a wonderful selection of Maltese food and the guide did a great job of explaining the food and customs to us. We did not appreciate her personal opinions and even anger at the knights from clouding her narrative. But as I said, a wonderful tour otherwise.

Valletta food tour - We enjoyed the food and walking tour. I really liked that there were headphones so you could hear without squishing together. There was a nice blend of info about Valletta and food samples. We especially liked the Pastizzi with mushy peas! Glad we tried it. I wish she gathered us and told us about the food before handing it out rather than while we were eating it.

Overall informative and enjoyable. - The walking tour was fine, our guide was very informative from a cultural perspective and explained the origins of the foods we sampled. We were however, expecting a little more food wise. We would have liked to see where and how the speciality of the area were made. For example, to have visited a location where the local pastries were being made. We may have picked the wrong tour for this.
