Valladolid is a quaint township steeped in history. Its architecture, cuisine, and inhabitants bear the imprint of Mayan culture during the Spanish invasion efforts.
Our journey begins at the semi-open, subterranean Cenote Oxman, notable for its azure waters kissed by rays of sunlight. Both the bird’s eye view and ground perspective are breathtaking and picturesque.
Our subsequent destination is Cenote Suytun, characterized by a unique formation that resembles a stage. Formerly a ritual location for the Mayans, this cenote exudes a distinctively spiritual ambiance not found elsewhere.
At the same site as Cenote Suytun, we will break for a buffet lunch to replenish our energies.
The final leg of our expedition concludes at Valladolid. Our guide will lead us on a walk through the prominent landmarks, offering a flashback to the town’s past.
