My First Paella - We have set out to teach you how to cook one of the most international dishes, the Valencian Paella. Rice is its main ingredient, followed by chicken, rabbit and vegetables.
We will meet in our kitchen. We will start with a sangria workshop that we will accompany with some delicious freshly cooked tapas and drinks. Then we will divide into groups and start with the paella workshop. We will discover the necessary ingredients to cook an authentic Valencian paella (fresh ingredients bought in the Ruzafa market).
Our chef will explain step by step all the secrets of a good paella and you will be the one who cooks the paella. While we cook we will learn a little more about the customs and culture of the Valencians.
Once finished we will sit down to taste it. We will accompany the paella with a Valencian tomato salad, Valencia wines, seasonal fruit, typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine and coffee.

Paella Class - The paella making experience was an incredible activity for 12 of us that included 6 children. They had a blast putting the dish together and learning the techniques that making Valencia’s paella so special. The instructors kept every kid involved and engaged and the adults had fun with the process.

Amazing Paella Cooking Experience! - My recent paella cooking class in the birthplace of this iconic dish was an experience I'll treasure! Our instructor Jose was a true paella maestro, sharing not only fantastic recipes but also the history and cultural significance of this delicious meal.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. At the kitchen, the step-by-step guidance was clear, even for a novice like me. The aromas building as we cooked were intoxicating!
Of course, the best part was tasting our own creation. The paella was absolutely perfect – the flavors vibrant, the rice cooked to perfection. This wasn't just a meal; it was a celebration of Spanish cuisine. I left with newfound skills, delicious recipes, and the desire to recreate this special dish at home. ¡Gracias!

Great evening of fun! - My husband and I participated in the paella cooking class last evening. The 3 chefs were all very professional, friendly and a lot of fun. Their upbeat personalities made the whole experience memorable. They made you feel like "family" and as it should be because paella is mostly shared with loved ones. The group was divided into 2 groups and through Viator I didn't see any choice. We were told that we had chosen the chicken and rabbit paella and not the seafood (scampi, shrimp) one. It didn't make a difference to us as we actually enjoyed a seafood paella the day before at a restaurant. Viator should give you a choice though between the 2 types of paella. The venue is not a restaurant but a facility designed specially for paella cooking classes..so don't expect a restaurant when you go there. This activity was not cheap but they were generous with the alcoholic (sangria..wine/beer with dinner..dessert wine) and the best was the paella ofcourse!

Great evening with lots of fun and food - The Traditional paella cooking class was great and a good laugh. The staff proudly told us about the origin of the paella and (of course) we learned how to make it. We were happy with the chefs who are entertainers as well. On top of the food there was plenty of sangria included ánd a shot of sambuca.

Great course! Whether as a couple or solo! - I really enjoyed the course! I took part alone, but I met some really nice other participants and had a lot of fun! The cooking teachers involved all the participants very well in the cooking and were happy to explain all the steps. The food was delicious! I can only recommend My First Paella! 🥘

Perfect paella! - We visited My First Paella as part of a business meeting and had a blast! The hosts were friendly and engaging took really good care of us. Our chef in our team was Anna and she was so bubbly and friendly and helpful! We learned to make a traditional Valencian paella which tasted amazing but had plenty of tapas, sangria, beers and drinks all night provided. The ending was eating the paella we made together and it was delicious.
The hosts made it possible and huge thanks goes to Anna for being so brilliant! All of the hosts were perfect though.
