Additional Information

Having spent over a decade in restaurant jobs, I chose to transition and apply my profuse knowledge of wines in a more innovative manner. My journey commenced in February 2021, when I moved away from my birthplace, Amsterdam, to conduct wine tasting sessions in Valencia.

My professional growth has been nurtured in some of Europe’s finest Michelin star eateries. In addition to practical experience, I’ve gained qualifications from the top Dutch wine course, “Vinologen” and from globally renowned wine studies program: WSET4, at its highest level.

You may wonder what makes a wine tasting session with me unique. It’s the unique blend of my charisma, expertise at giving people a memorable event, a distinct location providing an assured warm ambiance, and above all, my extensive reservoir of wine wisdom. You’ll seldom come across a question about wine that I can’t address.

The best Wine Tasting in Valencia! Great wines, along with a fun and informative evening, followed by delicious snacks! - I have attended a few of Tristan’s Wine Tastings when visiting Valencia now and each time has been in a beautiful location with really interesting Wines. Also in these times I have learnt so much about the world of wine. Great evening, great wines and also really lovely people too! Super sociable! I have already recommended friends to the tasting and they loved it too. Definitely a must do in Valencia! 🍷

Must have experience in Valencia - Anyone that comes to Valencia needs to attend a wine tasting with Tristan! His recommendations are delicious and he is very knowledgeable about his craft. It’s a fun, laid back environment, but you will definitely come away with some wine tips that will make you look like a pro at your next event. Also, you get to experience a gorgeous, cozy rooftop in the middle of the city with a phenomenal host. 10/10

A Must Do - I have been to several tastings with Sommelier Tristan and it has always been a great time. I always learn something new, as he often changes the wines up. I've even made many friends! A must do whether you're a novice wine person or consider yourself well tasted.

Best wine tasting in town - Best place in town for a wine tasting! Tristan, the sommelier, a great host , very knowledgeable and natural. Went there with two of my friends. We had a lot of fun and got to meet new people! Would recommend to anyone with even fleeting interest in wine. Top marks!

Expensive and lacking details - For my part, the sommelier, the presentation of the wine tasting and the place were great, but I don't see the way of presenting it as correct; They welcome you with a glass of cava, very good, but from my point of view the glass is not the correct one to drink cava (this glass is then mixed on the table with the other wine glasses because they are the same) Us during the tasting We tried 5 different wines, 3 white and 2 red, very good but on the table there were only 2 glasses per taster, they did not change them between wines, if you had any wine left from the previous one and you did not empty it, they would mix it for you . The menu lasted two hours and in that time we tried two canapés (one per person); one was a small cheese volovan with cranberry and the other a slice of bread with pâté. At the end they gave us a board with fuet, cheese and olives, for the 7 people who were at the table. We found it expensive, it is not what it seems and we think that there are details that can be improved. The wines were very good.

Disappointing, cash grab - As a wine lover, looked forward to this experience only to be disappointed. The event was way overbooked with about 35 people on this tiny terrace. The actual occupancy should’ve been max 10-15 people. Everyone was sardined in and couldn’t move nor hear the explanation. Speaking of sardines, the “high-end petit fours” were sardine paste on white bread and a whipped gorgonzola thingie with fig, along with plain white bread. All of which were served late in the tasting and were of questionable taste level. All in all, the wine selection was fine, the host provided some information although it was hard to hear with all the people there and hard to get closer as there was no space. Quite bad, wouldn’t recommend, go to any bar instead.
