A wonderful day in nature an hour and a half from Valencia - A tough hike in beautiful surroundings. On an October morning with beautiful weather, I went on an organized tour in Montenejos with a friend We were surprised by the beautiful landscape and instead of the waterfall I expected, there turned out to be a powerful stream of water spouting from the reservoir, which made for a spectacular sight

Incredible day out - I'm so glad we did this. It was breathtakingly beautiful and we had the canyon views and the hot springs to ourselves. Howard was brilliant, not only a fantastic guide but also really nice to hang out with- interesting and clearly passionate about finding wonderful off the beaten track places to explore. The hike views kept getting better and better and I would have loved the day with these alone, but to also have the clear springs with the cave to swim in, was a magical way to end. Highly recommend.

Do this trip!! - This was a great trip. Montenejos itself is an interesting town, and yes, it does feel alpine. The surrounding countryside we trekked was very scenic. Howard is the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. After the walk the hot springs were very welcome and a relaxing way to end a very enjoyable day.

Montenejos - Howard is a very professional, knowledgeable guide.. The hike was well organized, and the scenery was stunning. and also it was good to meet like-minded people in the group..Before and after the hike we stopped at a bar for refreshments so there was a good balance between socializing and hiking. I would highly recommend it, a very enjoyable day out

A great day out ! - For anyone interested in exploring the natural beauty surrounding Valencia, Howard's trips are unmissable. I have done quite a few of these excursions and always found them memorable and well-organised. As a professional tour guide Howard does a great job of bringing historical and cultural references into his tours. All in all this is a great day out and highly recommendable!

Nice walk but be prepared to scramble at top - We had a lovely group of fellow travellers and enjoyed the chat and journey which passed quickly. The walk whilst not long involves a scramble at the top which is alongside a cliff edge. 2 of our party stopped and waited about 100 metres from top as they found this part tricky. It was a nice walk but not lots to see. The springs were good; fish nibbling away at our ankles and refreshing. Cafe was pleasant at the end for a drink.
