Informative, interesting and entertaining - This was not our initial choice of plantation to visit but boy were we glad we ended up here. The guide, I think her name was Pam, was superb. Very interesting, all about the family members and life back then. Like she said, it’s not about the crystal or the furniture, it’s about the people. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Fascinating Family history tour - Here you get a fascinating history of the family that built and owned this beautiful property. Instead of the usual whitewashed version, you'll get insight into the interwoven relationships between the owner and slave families. Very well presented, don't miss it.

Very interesting on how... - Very interesting on how your mind can still be enslaved after you have physically been enslaved for yrs.

A very informative tour - Amazing historical site with a very informative tour, accurately depicting all the historical events that took place on the plantation. The building itself has been mostly remodeled but it still preserves the historic look and feel. My children learned a lot from this experience.

Very good experience to better understand the history of slavery in Louisiana - Visiting this plantation is a very good experience which is a change from what you can find in other more “prestigious” plantations. Here we focus the visit on a story: the history of the family and the slaves at the origin of this plantation. It's fascinating and it highlights the little details that made up life in this era of slavery. The French-speaking guide Joseph was very good and fascinating to listen to. I definitely recommend taking this tour.

Interesting but narrow - Being informed about Creole and sugar cane plantations. Too much focused on slavery and not enough about the plantation culture and community

Good insight into plantations - We did a 2 hour tour. The history was the most interesting part for me. They would take their sugar profits and return to New Orleans to buy more slaves. The grounds were interesting including furnishings and a laborers cottage. Too much time spent on the complicated family tree.
