Laura Plantation tour experience - This tour was amazing, the guide Jay was very knowledgeable, and he did an excellent job telling us about the history of The Laura Planation. The tour size was small but intimate. We learned a lot about Plantation life in general from Jay. We also visited the Oak Alley Plantation; I recommend visiting the Laura Plantation over Oak Alley if you only have time for one.

Intimate look into the past - We have been on this tour in the past and wanted to bring our children this time. The beauty of the plantation and the retelling of its history never disappoints us. We highly recommend visiting The Laura Plantation.

Eye opening experience - We took one picture, the family tree to be able to keep up with the story. Amelie was very knowledgeable but most importantly she brought out the most important part of the stories, the people who worked on the plantation were people not property. The group we were with were quiet and listening intently. It was a very somber experience and we felt like we were walking on sacred ground. We were glad Laura sold the plantation so she had no connection with carrying on the abuse. May God have mercy on the souls who lived and worked on the plantation. Amelie did a fabulous job of the realization of how the people were abused, used and taken advantage of. Thank you Amelie!

Ver informative - Very informative. Beautiful grounds! It was interesting to hear about how people lived in different generations and their role with the slaves. It’s a bit out from New Orleans but well worth the drive.

Activity not to be missed - Visit - in French - very interesting, local products are available. A small museum gives more details on different aspects of life at that time.

How did people live? - Very nice and interesting visit. On the other hand, I would have appreciated being told more about the life of slaves, the way they lived and their work. We've heard a lot about Laura's family. Still, it was beautiful to see and listen to. The guide could have spoken a little louder so everyone could hear him :)
