Salar de Uyuni, very complete day. - We spent the entire day in the salt flat. The guide (Alejandro) and the driver (David) were in charge of getting to all the places on time. They ordered homemade food and also vegetarian food for two of the girls who were on the tour (it was homemade food and they prepared it for us as a picnic). He explained a lot to us throughout the day. They stopped for photos too and were super friendly with all the requests we made. A day out of 10!

Salt Flats full day - Did the Uyuni salt flats full day. The guide took us to some beautiful places but he did not explain very much about the surroundings. We ordered vegetarian food (which was no problem according to the booking agent) but we received no substitute for meat. According to the itinerary the tour was supposed to end at 6 pm, we informed the guide continually that our night bus back to La Paz should leave at 8 pm and he promised that we would be back in time. We got dropped of 3 blocks from the bus and had to run to be able to catch in. The driver spoke no English and had not received any information about our bus from the guide.

Great tour, but communication could have been better - We went on the full day tour to the salt flats. The tour itself was great - our guide spoke good English and clearly knew the flats well, and seemed willing to go further out to the flats than a lot of other cars to find water and to get perspective shots. I travelled with my wife and we're both vegetarian, and food wasn't a problem - both veg and non-veg options were provided for everyone in our tour group. We weren't quite able to make it to the island further out because it was too wet (it had rained for a few days before we got to Uyuni), but we still had an amazing experience - the sunset with wine was great too. Our main issues were with communication and a close call getting our bus back to La Paz. We'd booked this tour after getting confirmation that we would be back before 8pm, when our bus back to La Paz was scheduled to leave. Our ticket said that the tour would finish by 6-6:30, but because of the sunset we only left the salt flats a bit after 7pm, and only got back to Uyuni just before 8 (we got dropped off at the bus stop right before the bus was due to leave). Our driver was aware of the bus time and it all worked out OK, but it was a bit close! Our ticket also had the tour starting around 10am for pickups, but we didn't end up leaving until shortly before 11 (without much explanation as to why). Overall, we had a good experience on this tour - just be really clear if you need to get back by a certain time!

Disappointing and over priced - We found the tour on find local trips which I thought was a trusted local website. The tour was completely over priced. We paid 70 dollar and were willing to pay extra because we thought we would recieve a good service. People who joined the tour on the day paid less than half the price which was very frustrating to find out. We spent most of the time in markets with little to no information. The food was the worst meal I had in 5 months in South America it was actually inedible and we were all starving. I contacted the company about my concerns and received no reply. There is definelty cheaper tours that provide and equal and more than likely better service!
