Colchani - This town is located on the edge of the Salar and is primarily engaged in salt extraction, agriculture (notably quinoa royal), salt crafts, and tourism. Isla Incahuasi - (Unavailable during the rainy season) Incahuasi Island features giant cacti reaching up to 10 meters in height. It is the largest among the islets in the center of the Uyuni salt flat. The island hosts a tourist reception center managed by the commonwealth of municipalities of Llica and Tahua, within whose territory the island lies. Visitors pay an entrance fee to access a well-marked and easily navigable trail that offers stunning views of the salt flat, cobalt blue sky, and numerous cacti.
