Great day - That tour was great way to spend a day and explore some of Yucatan. Our guide and driver Russel was very informative and shared a lot of interesting stories about culture and history of Mayan people.

The way to go! - Best of both worlds. Freedom of having one’s own car, with the knowledge of a local. Besides us getting to Uxmal and ChocoMuseum, our driver took us to a great place for lunch and a beautiful and secluded cenote. Our driver even took us back on backroads so we could see more villages, haciendas, and scenery. He was even willing to take us to Kabah if we had wished. Very satisfied.

Would recommend! - Loved exploring this ruin! I was a bit sad as we were not able to climb up the pyramids (apparently due to covid reasons) but it was still beautiful to walk around. One of my favorite parts actually happened to be across the street at the chocolate museum where we got to feed the monkeys! Something little and unexpected that ended up being a highlight of my trip.

A tour that could improve - When it says private tour it is a private tour. It was in a sedan car just for my partner and I. Our driver was Russell. His English is really good so it made the ride nice, he is from the area so he knows his way around and drive nicely. Although he knew a lot I think we miss much interesting information and fact about the places we went, so if your are into getting more knowledge about the places get a dedicated guide. Probably because we did not have a dedicated guide in the chocolate museum I felt like we could have skip this stop and instead have one that included how did they work with the henequen, I think that would have been more interesting. What it took us by surprise was the tickets prices which were not the same as suggested in the tour page. For the hacienda we paid $150 instead of $100 pesos and in the chocolate museum $180 instead of $140. Fortunately the Uxmal ruins accepted card payment so we managed with the cash.

Nice - This was part of a full day tour. The pyramid of the Magician was very nice. Wonderful story about it. I think that this is the biggest in the Yucatan?? The governor's house was impressive. Expect a lot of walking. I have some back and hip issues, so part if the walking was hard, but would fully recommend it.

Misinformed - The presentation of the Tour to the site was misleading. Company provided excelent driver to the sites and dinner at the end. A tour guide was not provided.

It was a drive; Uxmal was stunning - Not a private tour of Uxmal. The driver did give us a rundown of some Mayan history on the drive over. Not a private drive either. We ended up being grouped in with another tourist who also thought they had purchased a private tour of Uxmal and a private drive; although we didn't mind the company. Uxmal was stunning and well worth the trip. There are private guides you can hire on site.
