Slow start great finish - They had some issues with their vehicle and 1 couple didn't show up which put them later for us . But they answered my texts and got it all fixed. Manuel was a great driver and guide. Uxmal and Kabah were awesome. Weather was perfect for photos. We enjoyed lunch which both Manuel and the waiter worked hard to make vegetarian for my wife. She loved it. Really enjoyed the chocolate museum and Mayan village. Great trip.

Excellent tour of the "other" ruins, just as wonderful - Communication was easy and direct. Arrangements for pickup were set quickly and clearly. Manuel picked is up on time and greeted us with a big warm smile! Car was clean and AC was perfectly comfortable. On the way there he pointed out various facts and features of Merida and then out on the highway, he told us of the nature and agricultural significance of the different regions we were passing through. At the sites he told us the history and stories and explanations of the ruins and restoration efforts. Very informative and interesting! We had lunch at the Uxmal park's eatery. Food was simple, but tasty and just enough to fill out bellies. Three choices of entree, roasted pork, conchita pibil, and chicken. Plus a lime soup, basket of yummy buns and tortillas. Kabah was beautiful! Site was smaller, but you could get up close to the ruins and the carvings were even more ornate and wonderful than any other ruins i have seen so far ( been to Coba, Tulum, Chichen Itza, and a few others) Choco museum was lovely too! Be sure to start your tour with an ice cold chocolate frappe! Delicious! I got one for Manuel too! The museum is basically a walking path through the rainforest to various huts where the story of cocoa is shown in with displays and video. Great presentations, some funny typos etc, but very informative nonetheless. There are a few areas where there are some rescued animals. Friendly deer and birds more than willing to pose for a photo.

Tours with Victor are amazing! Uxmal is a must see. - I had Victor Morales as a tour guide. He was AMAZING. I have been on many tours, however his was the most informative, had the most pleasant pace, was the most intimate and varied. The experience was the highlight of my several week trip. I would definitely book another tour with Victor! He is kind and open to many questions. It seems as if he has the answer to every question! Victor is more of a friend than just a guide. Gracias, Victor! He builds up on info from previous conversations, so you can understand the sites from their creation to the modern day. Victor is also a good photographer! Uxmal is INCREDIBLE and seriously way more authentic feeling than Chichen Itza. 10/10, recommend. If you have Victor as a guide, and you speak Spanish, I recommend having him in Spanish because you just get so much extra uthenticity.

Breathtaking! - We chose a private tour so we could spend more time at the ruins. They were amazing. Plus, our tour guide was terrific. He was so knowledgeable, and answered all our questions.
