Wonderful experience! - Wonderful experience & amazing crew! The tour was beautiful & we saw whales!! Highly recommend this tour!

Worth it! Highly recommend - Crew were fabulous and went out of their way. We saw a mama and baby humpback, and the baby breeched! We also saw dolphins and went snorkeling. Great trip.

Lovely way to spend half a day! - Friendly, chilled, and warm guide and captain. Felt very professional yet in a relaxed Costa Rican manner. I traveled solo and met some lovely people on this tour. Got super lucky and got to spend time watching a majestic humpback whale with her new born! Saw dolphins up close. We had a chance to jump ship and go for a swim. Water and delicious fruits served on board. Highly recommend for a fantastic day out. Uvita beach is also stunning - worth spending some time here even if its a walk along.

Incredible experience! - We were so fortunate to get to see a competitive group of about 8 male humpback whales! We also saw spotted dolphins and flying fish. Our guide and boat crew were outstanding!

Fun - We had fun. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately no whales. But saw dolphins, sea turtles, mahi mahi and lots of fish snorkeling.

Perfect Trip - It was amazing! We saw whales, dolphins and orcas and enjoyed snacks under palm trees on the beach. Great experience, nice Guide & Captain, highly recommend!

Lovely boat ride around Marino Ballena National Park - The tour was really nice overall. We didn't see any whales, but that's not in the tour operator's control. We did see two dolphins and sea birds. The tour guides tried to make sure we still had fun despite no whales. We snorkeled and spent time at a quiet beach. Overall I enjoyed my experience. My only negative feedback is that we were asked to arrive by 8:20 am but we didn't leave the office until close to 10 am so it was a bit disorganized getting started.

No whales but decent tour operator - It was a great to be on water and they were friendly and helpful but we didn’t see any whales and were given a short time to snorkel which was a shame. We enjoyed it but think it’s overpriced for the number of people on the boat and they should offer another free trip if you don’t see any whales…

A good experience despite no whales - Whilst we didn't get to see whales , we saw some dolphins , snorkelled and were taken to a secluded beach to swim. The crew did their best

Forgot to pick us up - We were advised to wait at the whale office to be picked up by car but it never arrived. There was no Uber near and the only reason we got to the departure point was by hitchhiking. When we advised that this had happened it wasn't even acknowledged, the person behind the desk just looked at us and asked us to sign in. There appears to be 2 companies running this and the 'Whale tour' company didn't pick up the phone. To contact the operator I had to randomly Google the second company where the departure was just to get someone to pick up the phone. I got no response through Viator contact and still haven't. Pros: we saw dolphins but no whales and the people running it on the boat were friendly. We got some pineapple and water as snacks. The snorkeling was a nice activity but there is no coral and very few fish. The tour also said 8.20 sharp but noone even moved from chairs until 9am. I would not recommend this tour purely because we wouldn't have gotten on it without paying some random person to drive us across Uvita last minute.
