family cooking class - This sushi cooking class incorporated a full range of delights: spring rolls, noodles and vegetable mix, sushi wraps and matcha drink. The class takes place in a private home; the chef is energetic and personable. The hands-on learning gave each participant (three teenagers and two grandparents) an interactive experience. Each of us delighted in the tastes of our own interests without the chef being overbearing on how we were cooking. This provided some individuality to the class. One participant was a vegan and the chef made special accommodations for her. The best learning our family had was to not be timid about trying different foods and to openly explore cooking styles.
