Great real DC food tour!! - My husband and I took this tour and had such a great time!! This isn’t a tour of dry dates and facts, this is a really great tour about the local neighborhoods in DC. The facts were fascinating, but the food (and Tim, of course) was the real hit. Every restaurant was family run and so delicious. This tour is unique in that the food was paired with drinks too. You could order anything, but you will be so happy if you stick with Tim’s suggestions!! (although I do recommend the gin Rickey instead of the bourbon). Group tours can sometimes be awkward, but Tim does a great job of making the group fun and there was plenty of time to chat and enjoy the food/drinks. There was no rushing from place to place, and it felt like we were a group going out together, not another tour on Tim’s schedule. It was really great to see the quaint, quirky, real neighborhoods in DC. They were adorable and I’m glad we got to see how real people live in DC versus just the historic mall/monuments. I can’t recommend this tour enough, especially if you want a really unique experience of the ‘real’ DC.

Been living in the DMV for 25 years and had no idea what I was missing - This is not your typical history of monuments and museums tour. This is an immersive and culinary walk-through of the the communities and culture that make DC so unique. Tim doesn’t just share cool fun facts and nuggets; he inspires us to embrace the mindset he has used while traveling the world. Learning about the people behind the architecture, cuisine and neighborhoods makes it that much more meaningful to explore. Can’t wait for the next one…

Great tour of DC neighborhoods - My wife and I took this tour and had a great time.  I have lived most of my life in the DC suburbs but my experience and knowledge of DC was pretty much limited to the monuments and federal buildings around the National Mall.  It was great to learn about the city’s history, especially the history of some of the less touristy neighborhoods like DuPont Circle and Adams Morgan. The food choices were all really good. I’m a big fan of Ethiopian food now. The portions were generous.  If anything it might have been a little too much food but it was all delicious.

Fantastic tour for young visitors - For such a well-traveled man, Tim’s love for D.C. truly shines through. From fascinating city history to local small business stories, paired with incredible food and drink, this tour covers it all. As a younger tour-goer, I often worry tours will feel overloaded with information and leave little time for walking, eating, and drinking—but this struck the perfect balance. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, insider’s look at the unique culture of D.C.

Best tour of the "real" District! - Absolutely fantastic tour! I've lived around DC my entire life (50+ years) and I feel like I know the city pretty well. But I learned many new things and saw parts of the city I've never really seen before. And seeing them through the eyes of someone as passionate and engaging as Tim made the experience even better! I really enjoyed Tim's perspective on the origins and background on these DC neighborhoods, and how that history continues to influence those neighborhoods today. The food and drink was amazing as well. The Anamoros cocktail at El Tamarindo was just fantastic, and the food was great everywhere we went. And there was a LOT of food! This is not a tour where you just get a sample of a few bits of food. We were all completely full at the end! Loved this tour, and we're already planning to come back for another tour with family! Thank you Tim!

A really fun and engaging tour to do with friends - Tim leads an engaging an informative tour of historically significant neighborhoods of DC. As a DC-raised former resident, I learned so much on the tour. He weaves together the history of the culture, the challenges and the triumphs of DC in a cohesive and relatable narrative. The food is delicious. The drink pairings are perfect and the pace never leaves you wanting. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone. Locals, suburbanites like me, and visitors alike will enjoy and learn.

Highlight of DC! So fun! - This was a super fun tour, filled with really interesting info and insights into the locals' DC. I went solo when my friend had to cancel the trip - and joined a group for walking the city. Our tour guide Tim was hilarious, knowledgeable, and took us to spots (along the tour and for drinks) that a tourist normally would probably not visit. The neighborhoods are beautiful - and the food was also delicious. I loved the Anamoros cocktail (yum!), the Ethiopian food, and each locale was a great add. Definitely was a highlight of the DC experience!

Fun and unique tour of DC! - I’m a longtime DC resident and just did the Drink Eat Walk tour—what a blast! This isn’t your typical walking tour. Instead of the usual monuments, we got to explore the neighborhoods of DuPont Circle and Adams Morgan. Even after living here for 15+ years, I learned a ton about the history and hidden gems in these areas. The local restaurants we visited were great—amazing food and drinks, plus some really fun stories behind each spot. Fair warning: you’ll definitely get your money’s worth when it comes to food and drink. I left absolutely stuffed! Tim, our guide, was awesome—super knowledgeable and hilarious. I’d highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors. It’s a great way to see a different side of DC!
