So bad, you can't make this up - Do NOT book with this company Crusoe Travel! Our guide was an hour and 10 minutes late. When I called the guide she said she had no knowledge of the booking. I called the company and they told me that there was a personal emergency. (should have been my first clue.) They sent a replacement guide who showed up in sweatpants with an old microphone and scratchy speaker on her belt (there were only 4 of us.) This lady seemed barely able to walk the hills of the town. She rambled on about information that didn't make sense together. But then it got WAY WORSE. Here are the ridiculous highlights: She used curse words in a CHURCH and in front of my 12 year old. She said the "stupid" students were partying and having sex everywhere. She told a racist story about her past Japanese clients. She took us into a school without permission and then proceeded to get into a yelling fight with the teacher who told her to leave, telling him to "Shut up" in Italian. She tried to take us into a private courtyard of an individual's house, luckily we realized and refused. She called an elderly lady who clearly had mental health challenges "crazy." And the grand finale? She tells a story of a condom hanging from a balcony and dripping on some of her former clients.... When I complained to the company immediately after we ended the tour, this guide started leaving me what sounded to be drunken, harassing messages on What's App. The company refunded me less than a quarter of the fee. So yeah. Pretty bad.
