Participate in a captivating stroll exploring the medieval terrors, the undead, and ominous folk legends in Uppsala. Learn about folk superstitions such as mylings, the church mask, and the river curses, as well as the forest council, malevolent sudden death, and the arrival of the plague in Uppsala. You’ll also encounter the medieval undead, gain more knowledge about Uppsala’s plague years of 1709-11, and listen to the tales of hangings and wicked sudden demise at Galgbacken during a journey around the cathedral and the petite square, dating back to the 14th century, in Uppsala. An authorized Uppsala guide will lead the tour. The gathering point is at Riddartorget in Uppsala.
