• Akatarawa Valley - The journey kicks off with a comprehensive safety briefing, including a demonstration on how to rappel/abseil a rope. This is followed by a 20-minute walk along an old logging track into the Akatarawa forest, where the Little Akatarawa Canyon tour begins.

The adventure features an exhilarating zipline into the Little Akatarawa canyon, followed by four waterfall descents, rappelling/abseiling by rope into the canyon’s heart. Participants are initially lowered through the first waterfall to acclimate to the environment. If confident, individuals can perform an independent abseil, with our experienced guides providing support and coaching to ensure safety and enjoyment.

Wading through a shallow creek and optionally jumping from heights into fresh, pristine water is incredibly fun, and the scenery offers an unforgettable experience. The Little Akatarawa Canyon is a remarkable hidden gem in the Wellington region, just a 40-minute drive from the CBD. It’s a fantastic adventure right on the doorstep of Wellington, the capital city.
