The Ellora caves, originating from the 6th century, are renowned for their intricate carvings and sculptures. These vertical caves, carved into the Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu temples of Maharashtra, India, epitomize the spirit of tolerance that was prevalent in ancient India.

The Ajanta caves are notable for their artwork, featuring Buddha’s journey from his early life. These caves, cut into a large rock face in Maharashtra, house detailed frescoes recognized as Buddhist art masterpieces.

Bibi ka Maqbara, referred to as the ‘Taj of Deccan’ or ‘Mini Taj Mahal,’ exemplifies Mughal architectural beauty.

Great, safe, timely reliable service provided by Salman & Akvin. - Timely, safe, good service - these things are really important when travelling solo. I did the 2 day UNESCO sites tour which included Ajanta, Ellora and Bibi ka maqbarra. Drivers name was Salman. He turned up at the appointed time with a clean car. He was courteous and polite and was a very good driver. He explained about the sights we were going to see, arranged guides at Ajanta and Ellora. The guides at both places were really good. He stopped for coconut water and cough medicine when I asked him. He made sure I had enough water on me before embarking on my caves adventure in the heat. I found Akvin through Tripadvisor from other peoples reviews and I’m pleased to say I made the right choice by booking them. They were a very reasonable price compared to others and included a/c car, driver, entry & guide. I would not hesitate to recommend Akvin and Salman who was really good.

Homestay experience with Akash and his family - This was our 1st homestay experience and Akash and his family made it memorable. The moment we entered the home, we literally felt like home. The room was clean and all necessary things were provided. They were the perfect host, welcomed us with smile, love and warmth. Special thanks to Renuka aunty who is such a lovely lady, we enjoyed yummy food cooked by her and Akash's sister. Thanks a lot for excellent hospitality and good conversations. We would love to visit again and surely recommend everyone. Keep up the good work and all the best for future.

Do the caves on your own and read a book for the knowledge, save your money from the tour - The caves were cool but the first day guide we had at Ellora was very unenthusiastic and mono-toned. The second day for Ajunta, there was a minister in town doing a tour so all of the guides were taken so we got saddled with a group tour with a guide that still charged full price (so no discount or partial refund for us). This guided had such a thick accent it was difficult to understand, the other party that was with us understood even less of what he was saying so I found myself re-explaining some of the things to them just cause I felt bad.
