Excellent trip up Sani Pass - My family (6 adults) booked the Sani day trip and our expectations were exceeded in every way. Gardi was very accommodating and the process was seamless. Our guide, Elias, however, was truly the star of the show. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, history, and geography is faultless - he certainly brought Sani Pass to life for all of us. Additionally, he is a remarkable driver - we felt completely safe in his capable hands.

Amazing! - An absolutely amazing experience with the most beautiful views. Our Guide Mr Elias deserves a special mention as he truly made the tour extra special, explaining the history of the pass, the types of wildlife, native plants and the names of each bend on the pass, you can see that this guy loves this place and his job. I observed other tours along the way, however it was not even close to the experience provided by Elias and Major Adventures.

A day made to remember - A day made to remember Pulling up the unassuming front door of Major Adventures in Underberg gave no indication of what an amazing day we were about to experience. Warmly greeted and welcomed inside out of the cold morning air. We chatted for a while and decided to join a day trip up the Sani Pass with Ellias as our guide. With a warm smile that reassured the 3 passengers that we were in the best possible hands our guide welcomed us and we set off. Ellias is not only a wealth of information but the passion and his love for his country, its history and the people of Lesotho shone through making the day trip a lifetime memory. His knowledge of the local fauna and flora and the Drakensberg as a whole, was absolutely captivating. We pulled up numerous times to see Eland on a distant hill, an ice rat peaking out of a hole, the southern bald ibis, African rock pipit, grey winged francolin and cape rock thrush to name just a few – He also took us into a Basotho homestead where we were welcomed and served traditional bread and we taught a bit of the colourful history of Lesotho - all of which we would have missed out on if we were not in the capable hands of our guide Elias. So, if you are just interested in getting to the highest pub in Africa – then chose any of the Sani Pass operators or do a self-drive or tag along but if you want to hear the history and feel it through Elias’s stories then there is only one company to take you safely to the top and that is Major Adventures. Thank you to all the welcoming staff of Major Adventures for this wonderful experience. Nick and Karen Sunshine Coast Australia

Treacherous road that leads to incredible views - We did a 1 day tour with Major Adventures and it was an amazing day out. Elias fetched us from our hotel. Before leaving he completed all paperwork for border control. Elias is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the history of this area. It was a wonderful learning experience. He stopped at various points for us to take photos. Depsite the notoriously dangerous road we felt safe as all times. Highly recommeneded. Dont forget to take a jacket, water and your passport.

A great day up the pass - We booked in advance with Major Adventures and they were quick to answer our questions. We were lucky enough to be the only ones booked for the day so had a private tour. The vehicle was comfortable and we felt very safe with the driver. The driver was knowledgeable and took the time to stop for pictures and explain different things we passed. We stoped in a local village and had lunch (at own cost) at the pub. It is a long drive but the views are spectacular. Construction is already underway until the South African border control so that will shorten future trips. The route is difficult so would recommend doing a tour with an experienced driver with a 4x4.

One of the best day tours ever - My family of 4 took a private Sani Pass extended day trip on a 4 X 4 vehicle from Underberg. Our driver cum guide was extremely safe, knowledgeable, flexible and courteous. We took several stops along the Sani Pass admiring the natural scenery and wildlife along the way. Crossing into another country - Lesotho and visiting the village of Basotho was a fitting bonus. Visiting one of the huts of the native villagers and interacting with them gave a wonderful insight of their culture and traditions. On the way back, stopped for lunch at Africa’s highest pub/restaurant. Lunch was complimentary and delicious. We returned back to Underberg via the Sani Pass, at the stipulated time. It was indeed one of the best day tours ever. Would certainly very highly recommend Magic adventures to anyone seeking the Sani Pass tour with Lesotho extension.

A trip to remember! - Our tour guide - Ellias, made the trip extra special by sharing many stories of the pass and of Lesotho. The vehicles are in excellent condition and our tour guide was well trained in driving off road 4x4. We never felt scared. The visit to the little Basotho village was an amazing experience!
