Top top top - Very nice experience, together with the cook you go to a local market, there you choose fish and vegetables to work later in the kitchen. Everything is perfectly arranged. Afterwards, you will eat together with the other participants to get to know others and share experiences in sri lanka. Great!

Unforgettable experience in Unawatuna - An absolutely incredible experience! The day started with a visit to the local market which was very informative and it was lovely to see Susanthi purchasing the freshest produce. Susanthi showed us how to cook a variety of curries: a tuna curry, a couple of vegetable curries and some side dishes such as poppadoms, potatoes and an egg plant salad. All the food was absolutely amazing- the best we have had in Sri Lanka. We absolutely adored the food and Susanthi’s company- an incredible teacher and very kind lady. Her restaurant downstairs serves incredible food and is open all year round- her and her family are so kind- a must visit when in Unawatuna!

Best teacher and even better curries - She takes you to several market and teaches you about the ingridients. Then you go to her place and you cook several curries together. Lovely woman and teacher. The curry was so good it was so worth.

Heartwarming and delicious experience - We had a great time cooking with Susanthi! She took us to the local market by tuk tuk and showed us all the different kind of vegetables and showed us which fish were fresh. After that, we cooked our own curries from scratch and learnt a lot! She is very welcoming and sweet. It was heartwarming. I would go again if i could.

A must do in Unawatuna - Super fun and educational cooking class also for those who can't really cook! The cook is a top woman! Together with her you go to the local markets to buy your products.

Very nice cooking experience - I definitely recommend this activity to anyone visiting Unawatuna! It was a very fun and interesting morning guided by a very friendly woman. By tuk tuk, organised by them, we first went to the fish market and to the vegetable market where we were given some explanations and were allowed to choose which fresh fish/vegetables we took. The woman paid for everything at the market, we only had to pay for the cooking class. By tuk Afterwards next cooking class in which we made 5 curries with vegetables and a curry with fresh fish. During the cooking, we received good guidance from the woman who first gave us some explanations and then prepared the dishes ourselves. We were also allowed to taste regularly throughout the cooking. The cooking was followed by a dinner where we could eat all the prepared dishes as much as we wanted. It was delicious and very enjoyable! The portions were also more than enough. Well worth it!!

Amazing cooking class within 2h30 😍 - We had an amazing cooking class. We went to the market and cooked with all the fresh products. We were ready to eat after 2h30 without having to hurry ourselves. We could take our time to eat and had a nice chat. I recommend it 100%! Thank you and see you 🫶🏼😍 The restaurant is also open and super nice!

An authentic Sri Lankan cooking class in a delightful open air kitchen - It was a pleasure to learn traditional Sri Lankan cooking from Sushanti. The food we made was absolutely delicious. We have tried other cooking classes in Sri Lanka, but we made a special effort to come and learn from Sushanti because we knew how delicious her food was. We made six different dishes. All very different and all absolutely scrumptious. I would recommend the class to anyone in a heartbeat. Thankyou for teaching us Sushanti!
