- Genghis Khan Statue Complex - Your tour begins with a 9am pickup at your Ulaanbaatar hotel, and heads straight to the statue of Genghis Khan that rises 132 feet (40 meters) in the air. Holding a golden whip in his right hand, he gazes out toward the distant horizon envisioning future conquest. You’ll visit a small museum here and see the ancient collections, before heading to Terelj National Park to escape the city bustle.
- Gorkhi-Terelj National Park - heading to Terelj National Park to escape the city bustle. Here you’ll spend 5-6 hours exploring the hills and going on guided hikes, as well as have lunch at a tourist camp and visit with a nomadic family.
You’ll hear about their customs, life, culture, and ancient nomadic traditions, and there’s also the chance to spend an hour touring the area on horseback.
- Discover Mongolia Travel - After eight hours of experiencing Mongolia, the tour finishes when you’re dropped off at your Ulaanbaatar hotel.

Magnificent monument. - Magnificent monument. Worth the trip out from the city.
Lucky enough to be taken out by a work colleague so stopped for local food on the return trip.

Great day out! - We had an action-packed day, full of beautiful views, friendly people and cultural improvement :). Oyuna, our guide, and Damba, our driver, were very friendly & knowledgeable people & we were lucky to spend the day with them. I would recommend this day out to anyone staying in Ulaanbaatar.

Great company for day trips - I highly recommend Discover Mongolia as a tour company. My coworker and I had a great experience in June 2023. Accompanied by our guide, Mygagmar, and driver, Dambaa, we embarked on a day trip to Terelj National Park and the Chinggis Khaan Statue. Along the way, we encountered breathtaking landscapes, witnessed horses roaming freely, and had the opportunity to visit a nomadic family. Both the guide and driver were delightful companions and provided us with a wealth of information. We also took a break in Terelj National Park to savor a delicious Mongolian lunch, which added to our overall enjoyment.

Amazing Mongolian tour! - I highly recommend Discover Mongolia tour company. My friend and I had an excellent trip in June 2023. With our guide Uuganaa and driver Nyamlai we travelled around Mongolia for 6 days in a 4x4 vehicle. We saw some amazing scenery, loads of animals, stayed in different camps sleeping in gers. We also ride camels and horses, and visited a nomadic family.
The guide and driver were excellent company and very informative.
I wouldn’t change a thing about the trip.

Historic experience - Just seeing the Chinggis Khan statue and reading some of the history in the museum reminds the tourist how this region of the world evolved over centuries. The Park is beautiful with a great lunch and visit to Buddhist temple.

1 Day Tour to Terelj National Park & Chinggis Khaan Statue - Thanks to an amazing, patient, very informative tour guide Oyunga and driver Damba, we had a memorable experience visiting the Chenggis Khaan statue/museum with it’s colourful history. The visit to the Buddhist temple, was well worth the arduous walk - what an amazing view when you reach the temple, surrounded by the mountains; looking down at the valley below dotted by the Ghers; an artist’s dream to capture the beauty. Our highlight was visiting a nomad family in their Gher and tasting their local food. I had my first ride on a horse; an experience I will never forgot. Well worth the tour and highly recommended.

Great tour and experience! - My friend and I took the Terelj National Park and Chinggis Khaan Statue Tour. Everything was exceptional. Our guide and driver met us at the hotel and they were exceptional. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic during the entire trip. Tour of the statue and museum was excellent. Our guide provided a great overview of the complex and then an expertly-guided tour throughout. The park tour was equally incredible because our guide and driver were fantastic. Both made the entire experience worthwhile and I will definitely takes tours with them and the entire Discover Mongolia team -- first rate all around!!!

Fun Day Trip to the Beautiful Country! - We had a wonderful day with our guide, Ebo, and driver, Mandakh. The visit to the statue, local family, lunch, horse riding, and hiking around Turtle Rock were are great. We especially loved seeing the yaks because we didn't see any on our separate journey into the country east of UB! Everything was very organized. The only downside was the road out to the statue and park being under construction, so there was a lot of dirt side roads. Not a knock on the company, just poor timing for our visit. Thanks again!
