4 Gorillas Lodge is a beautiful facility - The lodge was beautiful and the food was excellent. A staff member, Frank Turahaki, took us for an unscheduled walk from the lodge to see the local birds and monkeys. Frank has a good eye and is very knowledgeable about the birds and the flora and fauna. All of the staff were friendly and provided service beyond our expectations!

Excellent!!!!! - I was visiting with my daughter and her family in Kampala. She made arrangements for her two teenage daughters, and the two of us to do a gorilla trek in Bwindi National Forest. We stayed at 4 Gorilla Lodge. It was a lovely experience. Beautiful views, very comfortable accommodations, a very helpful and personable staff, including a wonderful chef. Lots of warm touches; hot water bottles ready with bed turn down, a welcoming message on each bed made of flowers and stems, refreshing juices awaiting our return with hot towels and help to remove our muddy boots and wash them, popcorn always ready, as was hot beverages. The staff was stupendous! We all had a wonderful, positive experience. We highly recommend the 4 Gorilla Lodge.

Most Incredible Wildlife Adventure! - There are few things cooler than trekking through the forest to see wild mountain gorillas! This was one of the coolest wildlife encounters my wife and I have experienced! We definitely couldn’t have done it without Range Land Safaris! We got to see 7 gorillas, including a silverback, and a playful toddler gorilla! The local Ugandans were so kind and made the entire trek an experience to never forget. We were amazed about their certainty of seeing gorillas. In order to ensure success, the local Ugandans send trackers, who know the gorillas, out ahead of us and radio to our guide where they are for the day. As long as you are willing to hike, they said you will almost always be able to see the gorillas! My favorite part was when the little baby walked right past my feet! Our guide Ronald, one of Range Land Safaris’ co-founders, really made our trip an unforgettable experience. It seems like he knows the entire country and every detail about the animals. The company has a deep pride in conservation and giving back to the local community. Whether you are looking at trekking for gorillas, going on a safari, rafting down the Nile River, or pretty much anything else in Uganda, Range Land Safaris offers it. From transportation, food, lodging, and everything in between Range Land Safaris arranged every detail for us. They customized our trip based on our preferences and time schedule. For transportation the company uses extended Land Cruisers. I usually get sick on long drives, but the drive was so comfortable and we had so much room, that within 16 hours on the road I never felt sick. For the gorilla trek, Range Land Safaris booked us a room at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge. The rooms had an incredible view, the food was great, and the staff was so kind. The best thing about booking with Range Land Safaris was having a local expert in the country in case anything changed or went wrong. We found out just how helpful this was before we even landed in Uganda. At the last minute our flights were canceled and the only flight we could book was at 2:00am. But our guide Ronald was there, waiting at the airport to pick us up and take us to our hotel. He helped arrange our covid tests and other details that would have taken us forever to figure out! We highly recommend booking with Range Land Safaris!

Geoffrey was fantastic - My husband and I worked on a custom tour and was cheerily greeted at the Uganda border (coming in from Kigali, Rwanda) by Geoffrey. From the moment we met him, we felt at ease and grateful. He got a call on his phone (about our travels) and pulled over the 4x4 to take it (safety first!) and then we picked up Elizabeth from the Little Angels orphanage he coordinated a visit to for us. From there to market, the orphanage, and then to our lodge. Geoffrey made sure to keep us hydrated and fed, and he shared plentiful information about locals living in the region and cultural norms as we drove across the country from Kibale to Entebbe. We’d be happy to book with this company again and are especially grateful for our time with Geoffrey. He really made our visit to the country special.
