• Crystal Gallery - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in the morning and transported to the City Palace to meet their guide for the day.

The Crystal Gallery showcases a unique collection of crystals ordered by Maharana Sajjan Singh from F&C Osler & Co in England in 1877. Unfortunately, the Maharana passed away before the collection arrived, and the items remained forgotten and packed in boxes for 110 years. They were finally displayed to the public in 1994.

This royal collection features various objets d’art, dinner sets, perfume bottles, decanters, glasses, washing bowls, and even furniture. Among these is a priceless Flora Danica dinner service adorned with the royal insignia of the House of Mewar. Of the original Flora Danica service pieces delivered in 1803, 1,530 have survived to this day.

• Lake Pichola - Next, guests will be driven to Lake Pichola for a sunset boat ride. Enjoy the view of the luxurious Lake Palace hotel located on the island of Jag Niwas. This hotel was one of the filming locations for the James Bond movie, Octopussy. Originally constructed in 1743 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, the palace was restored and transformed into a hotel in 1963.

Visitors can also catch a glimpse of the Jag Mandir Palace, situated on an island of the same name. Known as the ‘Lake Garden Palace,’ it features an impressive entrance flanked by sculptures of eight elephants.

After the boat ride, guests will be driven back to their hotel.

The rare crystals on display date back to the 19th century and range from the more mundane to the extravagant. The royal collection includes crystal chairs, sofas, tables and even beds.

Later enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, an artificial freshwater lake that has several islands on which are located palaces, family mansions and marble temples.
