Putu resides in the village of her forebears, within a traditional familial estate. Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted by her elders, her spouse, Pasta, and their trio of offspring. Putu’s culinary journey began in her youth, assisting her grandmother in the kitchen. Her proficiency in cooking has since blossomed into both a vocation and a fervent hobby. She is employed as a chef at a couple of private estates, where she whips up innovative and authentic Balinese cuisine to the delight of her patrons. She takes great care in the aesthetic arrangement of her dishes, garnishing them with intricately carved fruits and vegetables. At her residence, she is tasked with crafting offerings for the temple, ranging from modest tributes to towering fruit structures that she balances atop her head during religious festivities. Additionally, Putu concocts homemade jamu, a traditional medicinal concoction derived from turmeric.
Putu’s grandparents cultivate rice, which you’ll have the pleasure of tasting during your meal. You and your family will be escorted around their homestead, where they will introduce you to their private shrine and elucidate the significance of the various sacred items. Their property boasts a charming orchard that yields jackfruit, cacao, durian, coffee, and bananas. They also rear a variety of livestock, including pigs, ducks, chickens, and a cow.
