- Mount Kawi - Gunung Kawi is an 11th-century temple and funerary complex located on both sides of the Pakerisan River. It features 10 rock-cut candi (shrines) carved into 7-meter-high (23 ft) sheltered niches in the cliff face.
- Tirta Empul Temple - Observe the local ritual of holy blessings at the crystal-clear fountain fed by the spring at the main temple. You may participate in the ritual if you wish.
- Tegalalang Rice Terrace - Take a short trek to experience the authentic life of a Balinese farmer. Walking along the stunning rice fields will make for an incredible day.

Exploring Bali's Sacred Sites: A Day with Adi in the Water Temples and Rice Terraces - Here’s review below ☺️
I was lucky enough to spend the day with Adi who took me to explore the Water Temples and the UNESCO rice terraces in Jatiluwih.
Adi collected me from my villa in Seminyak, bright and early, in his comfortable, clean and air-conditioned car. As a tip, I since learned that starting early means you beat the traffic and the crowds at these destinations - meaning you have some of these almost all to yourself.
The full trip involved visiting:
- Ulun Danu Beratan Temple
- Jatiluwih (UNESCO rice terraces) plus an extensive buffet lunch at a neighbouring warung
- Batukaru Temple (Pura Luhur Batukaru)
- Tanah Lot Temple
At each location, Adi spent the time sharing information on the history of the place, its importance in Balinese culture and society along with the cultural significance of individual structures, symbols and statues.
Most importantly, as a solo traveller, Adi was generous with offering to take plenty of photos (which were all excellent!), and suggesting particular locations and poses that would suit.
Adi was engaging without being overbearing and regularly checked in to see if I wanted to do more or less of something. On the return trip home, there was heavy traffic to get back to Seminyak, but Adi never complained and ensured I was returned to my accommodation.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and my time with Adi and am very grateful for his kindness and generous spirit.

Great day - We had such a great day with our personal driver Dewa. Dewa is so personnable, knowledgeable and fun to be with. He suggested to bring us to a coffee plantation which we absolutely loved.

Great experience! - We used Hire Bali Driver for airport transfers to/from Ubud, as well as a private full day tour. Surya was our driver for both. He is very knowledgeable about the sites, and an excellent driver. He is kind, considerate, and was very flexible with changes we made during our tour. He was able to find a “staff” to help me walk with a sprained ankle, and took Liz to the same store his wife uses to purchase sarongs. Coordinating everything from initial contact, to scheduling, to purchase was very easy using WhatsApp. Wayan (their coordinator) was quick to respond to any questions and requests. We highly recommend Hire Bali Driver!

Everything perfect - We booked a private day tour and we were very pleased. Our guide Benik is very personable and a good soul. He has a lot of knowledge about his country and his religion. No matter what we asked, he always had an answer. We were very happy that Benik was our guide. We couldn't have imagined a better one.

Wonderful tour experience with a knowledgeable tour guide! - Pit our driver and tour guide was by far the best tour guide we ever had ever!!! He drives a Toyota SUV and was a very safe and efficient driver. He accompanied us to all the sites and was very knowledgeable about the various tourist destinations. We highly recommend him!!!!!

Bali Rice Terraces and Coffee - Berata is a wonderful guide and driver. The Tegalalang rice terraces should be on everyone’s must-see list for Bali. As a bonus, we also visited a coffee plantation which was the highlight of the day for me. We ended the trip with a purification ceremony - beautiful, serene, and spiritual.

Royal temple in the centre of Ubud - In the center of Ubud you can visit this complex of royal temples. The decorations are numerous and give an idea of the ancient sculptures.

Interesting tour - The views of the Tegelallang rice terraces were amazing. The lunch at D’alas warung was tasty and with a scenic view. Our driver Sunarta was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a running commentary on the journey. He also managed to drive safely among the heavy traffic on the narrow roads and lanes of the hills of Ubud and Sukawati etc
