mason adventures is well worth it - Our travel agent booked us this experience with Mason Adventures and it was amazing. The guide was good and funny. We went 10 kilometers on the river. There were constant manageable rapids that kept you going to the next one.

Great time rafting would highly recommend - Great experience from start to finish there was a great pick up and the guides for the rafting were brilliant! Would definitely come back. The operation of it all was great.

Best rafting company... no doubt about it. - Mason offers the best professional rafting in Ubud, Bali. I wasn't sure how my kids would feel about rafting, Mason offered them fun filled experienced. My kids had an amazing experience. So if you are in Bali and have kids, don't think twice, go with Mason adventures. They have a trained and professional experts who guide you at every step and care for your experience. Overall, the two hour rafting was fun filled. Thank you Mason.

Amazing experience - It was a magic experience !!! Thank you to Wayan for this funny moment. Beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, ... We had the chance to swimming on the Ayung River !! Just unbelievable !!! The best longest rafting (one hour, maybe more !) :D

Exhilarating - Booked this on a whim. I was a bit tentative about it but it was fabulous - exciting, exhilarating and never, not for one moment did I feel unsafe. Brilliant and obviously experienced guide. I'd do it again in a heart beat... except for the steps! LOL. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Brilliant fun! Killer steps! - This was one hell of an experience - the white water rafting was exhilarating and so, so fun! Our guide was super friendly and we felt safe with him, he made it such a fun experience and he even manoeuvred our boat himself when we got completely stuck in the rapids! There were parts of the rapids that were white knuckle inducing and other parts of the river that were gentle and calm allowing you to fully take in the dramatic scenery. We felt like we were in Jurassic World! It was simple stunning. We stopped off at a waterfall and there were also opportunities to bathe or stop for a beer at different points down the river. The company were great, super organised pickup and drop off and clean changing and shower facilities. There was also an option to buy photos and go pro footage. Lunch was included and this was ok - nothing special and the dining area felt a bit neglected. Things to consider: The steps - no joke, these were difficult enough getting down as they are steep and slippery and you are wearing your safely gear and carrying your paddle. But getting back up at the end - it’s a killer. Take your time and stop for breaks, the experience is well worth tackling the steps so just keep that in mind. Footwear - I wore tevas and they kept slipping off. Water shoes or old pumps are definitely better as at one point you have to disembark the boat and climb up the embankment as the rapids are too rough. All part of the experience but you will be glad of suitable footwear. Long route - Mason adventures has the longest route for rafting as you start at the top of the river and finish at the bottom. It’s more expensive than other companies but we’ll worth it as you get longer rafting. You see where the other companies start further along the river and they miss out on loads of rapids and exotics scenery.

The best, longest and safest rafting you can do! - Fantastic experience as expected. You get what you pay for- fantastic guides, fantastic experience and great safety measures. Mason adventures are the only company to offer the full 10+ kilometre rafting, with some of the best rapids that other companies can’t access. The jungle buggies are also the best/safest that I have seen on the island. Highly recommend!

Rafting at its best - Yet again another great morning rafting with masons adventures. 400 steps to reach the river with Australian safety standard steps including hand rails- not all companies have handrails so for me this was important given the steps can be wet and/or have moss on them...lunch was disappointing as not a lot of variety and not hot- deserts were amazing especially the mug bean and truffles - expensive compared to other tour operators but well worth it -would use no other company -gets the thumbs up from me

Beautiful experience...need a fun guide - I took my 2 girls for holiday in Bali (10 and 12) and decided to try this. The pick up was punctual. Mason adventure premise was nice and clean. The steps were steep but manageable. I read a lot of reviews before i signed up for the activity, so i was prepared. The whole lead up to the rafting was very pleasant. The scenery was beautiful. The rafts are clean and safe. The scenery was quite breathtaking. The rapids were not fast nor steep, i would give it a thrill factor 2/3 out of 10. But the experience was still amazing due to being able to soak in the beautiful nature. The rowing of the raft for 2 hours was tiring though. The reason i gave it a 3 star is due to : 1. The guide we had was too serious and boring. I read from other reviews that the participants were laughing all the way and had so much fun. But our guide was so stern and not-interested. The only words he uttered during the entire 2 hours of rafting was "forward, forward!!/ stop, stop". basically giving us instruction to row forward or stop rowing. He didnt crack a single joke nor bothered to make our rafting experience enjoyable at all. He didnt even offer to help us take a photo. I felt like i was in a military bootcamp. That was not fun. 2. When we arrived at Mason Adventure, Our guide asked us to sign a form telling us that its for the insurance. But i read the form, it was actually a risk disclaimer form. I thought that was a bit sneaky. I didnt want to mention the name of our guide coz i dont want to affect the guide's livelihood. But i did speak to a manager about our rafting experience. Hope that they will make sure each guide strives to make the rafting experience a fun and enjoyable one for every participant. They have got everything right. The whole experience would be perfect if the guide is fun.
