Awesome day on the Pacuare! - We had a great time rafting on the Pacuare with Juan Carlos. It was an adrenaline-filled day but also felt very safe. Lunch was delicious and included some very fresh local fruits and veggies. This tour is also one of the most affordable in the area so it fit into our tight travel budget, and it’s not too long (leaves Turrialba at 7 and returns around 1-2 pm). We had a blast… highly recommended!

The best for rafting on Rio Pacuare - Awesome day rafting on Rio Pacuare with this company. Professional staff. The early morning start also gives the opportunity to enjoy birdlife around the river. The lunch was delicious. To make things even more easier, you can spend the night at their lovely hotel. In short: we had a great experience and a wonderful day!

Rafting the Pacuare - What an amazing experience! Louis and Alejandro were very patient with us novice, old (67!) clients. Their skill at navigating the rapids on the Pacuare is superb, and their knowledge of the wildlife on the river is expansive. And who knew that rafts can make great tables for lunch when turned upside down! Lunch was great too!

AWESOME RAFTING - Great experience with family and friends. Moises is a very experienced guide with an awesome attitude, and Alejandro was taking nice photos on key spots. Really recommend this rafting experience to everyone that wants to add a little bit of adventure and adrenaline to their trip.

Outstanding White Water Rafting Experience - As part of a Costa Rica travel package, we did a white water rafting adventure with Exploradores Outdoors. They were fantastic! The guides/instructors were friendly and knew what they were doing. They safely navigated us (a raft with seven people) through Level 3 ad 4 white water passages with consummate skill. And most importantly...they made it all fun. Highly recommend!

Adventure of a lifetime! - This was one of the most amazing adventures of our life! We didn't wipe the smiles off our faces for four hours! Juan Carlos, Moises and Alejandro were an amazing team and we felt safe the entire time. We were fortunate enough to be the only ones on this tour so it was basically a private tour! Moises was an incredible guide and Alejandro took an amazing set of photos throughout the trip. It was quite reasonable and worth every penny. They provided a beautiful and tasty lunch of fresh vegetables and fruits, and meats and cheese to make your own burrito. It was delicious. We really enjoyed our day spent with this team! You must do it! Thanks guys for the trip of a lifetime!

Not professional - I would recommend using another guide company. We arrived at the sketchy location to an underwhelming introduction, If you want to call it that. More like “park there, get in van here”. Before getting in, my girlfriend needed to use the restroom, in which she was guided to a neighboring apartment with people actively living inside. Weird. But we get on our way, an hour long trip later and we’re at the river. I’m approached by the driver who asks for pay, but says cash only, which was never mentioned on the website. He says it’s ok, we’ll stop at an atm on the way home. We get on our trip and the river itself was absolutely amazing. Tons of rapids. Canyons. Deep in the jungle. Beautiful. You should do a (different) wwr tour on the pacuare. But our guide was not the best. He didn’t bring any energy to the trip and though the river was low, I felt we got stuck a lot more often than we should have. Lunch time was weird. He was adamant that we not be around when he prepared the food. No clue what that was about (speculate for yourself). But food was good. We finished up after lunch and any good vibes had all gone. Everyone just quiet the rest of the ride. We got back to the van where they offered an overly expensive picture package ($60 per couple unless the whole group agreed and then $30 a couple). On the way home, we got stuck in traffic that made the hour drive a 2.5 hour drive. Still needed to go by the atm, so they take me by and I try all 3 of the first place’s atms before accepting that they just don’t accept my card. I go to another that he guides me to and get the money. When I get back, my gf informs me that after I got out, the guide began angrily talking to the driver about me and gave an insulting gesture towards me. Real classy. Overall, I suggest using a more professional company. This just felt like 3 guys with a van and a raft.
