Additional Information

Little Water Cay, also referred to as ‘Iguana Island’, is located in the Turks and Caicos Islands, which are part of the UK’s Overseas Territories. Resting south of the Bahamas in the Caribbean, it’s under the administration of the Turks & Caicos National Trust. The place has become a popular eco-tourism spot, primarily due to the opportunity it provides to observe rock iguanas in their natural surroundings. It’s the easiest location globally to witness these unique reptiles. The place features dedicated pathways for tourists. Traveling across a stunning channel with a turquoise-blue hue, one arrives on a shoreline that seems untouched by modern life where reptiles have the upper hand. It boasts white-sand beaches, coasts eroded by waves and made of coralline, silver-topped palms rustling in the wind, and mangrove swamps teeming with mosquitoes and home to jellyfish that float upside down.

Amazing Turtles and Tour Guides - Beautiful experience. My friend and I had the best time! We had a wonderful tour guide (Menelik/Queso) take us through the experience. He was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about every aspect of our trip. He kept the conversation flowing and brought the energy we were looking for. During our experience, we saw native fish, birds, baby lemon sharks, iguanas, and turtles. We recommend this spot to anyone that comes to visit. As a side note, for anyone who gets a free shuttle ride over, we recommend asking for Tyga. He's a great driver with lots of knowledge about the island!

Beautiful Experience - Beautiful trip - my friend and I were enthused! The water was beautiful and the wildlife was incredible. We saw a baby lemon shark, schools of fish, birds, conches, and turtles. We had the best tour guide leading us through the experience. Menelik (Queso) was high energy and made the tour so much more fun. He cracked jokes with us, was knowledgeable about the islands/Mangrove, and checked up on us several times. Our driver was also great - we highly recommend asking for Tyga! He was fun and had lots to tell us about the island.

Well worth the effort. - The tour guide Money was great. Very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy what he does for a living, which is great. The taxi there and back was clean, on time and the driver was polite. It was really lovely being towed behind a boat to get to the islands as paddling there and back would have been too much. We saw turtles, baby lemon sharks, iguanas and baby conch. A great time was had by us.
