Fun and informative experience. - This experience provides a peek into the cultural background of the Māori. It’s a polished experience, with lots of opportunity to interact with the learning. The meal is restaurant quality with generous portion sizes. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable - From booking to being dropped off the experience was amazing. Emails received to confirm hotel pick up with description of the bus, driver and host were fantastic and brought a big group of strangers together as though we were all old friends, the different tasters and lessons were interactive, informative and overall brilliantly run. Then came the food...sharing platters of mouthwatering flavours and textures. We went for the drinks pairings one wine one non-alcoholic and both were equally delicious and perfectly matched the foods. Service was fantastically smooth and the place settings were a delight. Thankful I don't need to describe the experience in just one word, but if I did it would be "WOW"

Authentic,Passionate and tons of food - Spent a wonderful evening learning more about Maori culture and having a gergous meal. The staff are so passionate about teaching us all about Maori culture and stories.Wonderful to see all the songs ad dances so professionally performed by one extended family. We even learned to do the Haka Games encouraged everyone to participate and the entertainment was first- class - delivered with passion and commitment to the culture. Then onto a lavish meal........ huge quantities of green lip mussels, whitebait fritters, lamb, duck and oh so tender wagyu beef rib. All accompanied by numerous hangi- cooked vegetables and sauces . A first- class experience 10/10 👏

Excellent and fun - It was a great experience. The Māori family were excellent hosts. They greeted us warmly, gave us a tour of their village and explained their lives. Then in for dinner and a show. The food was delicious and the Māori family can sing. Highly recommend this adventure.

Unforgettable experience! - This was an unforgettable experience! I've been lucky enough to have attended similar excursions in different cultures; but, I have to say this was the best. What really sets this apart is that it is family run. They take a very personal approach to teaching you about their people, culture, customs, and food. They really draw you in and you feel so included (they even have a family member sit at each table during dinner to share more stories and answer questions).

An outstanding cultural experience - Our evening at Te Pa Tu was the highlight of our trip. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, engaging and friendly. I learnt so much about traditional Māori culture during the experience and loved the houses of learning. The food was delicious and abundant - no one left hungry! Having a performer sit at our table for dinner gave us an incredible opportunity to learn more from a talented and knowledgeable young man. Finally, the performances during the night was incredible! Thank you for a fantastic experience. Te Pa Tu was worth every cent!
