- Zona Arqueologica de Muyil - We will start by enjoying a tour of the Muyil Archeological Ruins. TAE Guide is NOT a Archeological Guide so if you want to hire one they are an additional charge, otherwise this is a self guide tour of the ruins. We will enjoy a local mayan lunch after we tour the ruins.
- Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve - After lunch we will take a boat and do an ecological tour of the lagoons and visit an old mayan trading post followed by a 40 + min floating tour through the man made ancient mayan canals that connected the lagoon and provided passage for the mayan boats to head out to sea..

Embark on an adventure at Muyil, a historical Maya archaeological site nestled within the marshland of Sian Ka’an, recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This journey from Tulum leads you to this erstwhile trading hub via a narrative nature path, preceding a boat trip to Muyil Lagoon. Subsequently, you’ll passively sail through the shallow waterway amidst distinctive flora. Gain insights from your guide regarding the regional ecosystem and Maya civilization prior to a picnic luncheon. Enjoy a tour of Sian Ka’an and Muyil archaeological site from Tulum, Boat across to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and gaze at El Castillo dominating the freshwater lagoon of Muyil. Drift along the Maya-constructed canal amidst the mangroves. Kindly note: At least 2 guests are required for the tour to commence.

Unforgettable, magical experience - What an utterly magical experience! We will never forget floating down the Mayan Canals or the wonderful Sian Ka'an Muyil ruins. And what made it even more special was our lovely, knowledgeable guide, Christina.

Amazing tour with Paco! - We had an amazing time! Paco was such a great guide! Attentative and knowledgeable the entire trip. The water was crystal clear and the Ruins were amazing to see. Lunch was a taco spot near the Ruins that made authentic Mayan cuisine. Highly recommend this adventure! Bug spray is a must for the Ruins tour!

Nature Paradise - Our guide Julieta was amazing! Very prepared, knowledgeable & caring.
As a bonus, saw 3 monkeys taking a siesta atop a tree. The 2 lagoons were magical nature paradise.

Thw best experience ever!! - This tour we took with MexicoKan Tours is just amazing, but make sure the floating canlsl are included. You visit the pyramids, then go on a boat to the other side of the lagoon and then you float on a river with cristal clear water for about 40 mn. This float is just a divine experience. This tour is off the beaten path, look for it and take it.

Excellent - The Mayan canal part was magical, being able to get a close look of the different flora and trees was beautiful. Julieta was so kind and awesome, she is the best.

Wonderful - Wonderful tour, would highly recommend. Basically had a private tour and the float down the canal was incredible. Had so much fun, Juliet was an amazing tour guide and was really knowledgable. One of the best moments of our holiday. Thank you!

Fantastic personal tour from local experts - We had a wonderful time! Carlos was very professional and Paco was super fun. It was like having local friends show us around. The canal float was magical. Lovely boat ride, Incredible ruins and jungle tower. They took us to a great taco spot and the food was delicious. So much better than a big tour bus!

Medical emergency, peanut allergy - Our daughter was contaminated at breakfast with peanuts the morning of the tour. Luckily, she recovered within a few hours. We were just down the road from our meeting place when it happened and I had to message our issue. Unfortunately we were unable to reschedule or receive any type of refund even though it was a medical emergency. The tour guide was very nice though.

Cancelled same day. Ruined trip. - This company charged us $390, confirmed our trip and then canceller 30 minutes before the tour. We were unable to book a different trip for same day, so we ended up burning this day of our vacation. Their communication is terrible and dishonest.
