Cenotes, the iconic sinkholes of the Yucatan peninsula, are a breathtaking feature of the region’s topography. These subterranean pools are adorned with an array of stunning limestone structures, including stalactites and pillars, and are filled with crystal-clear rainwater. Beyond their natural beauty, cenotes hold a sacred place in Mayan culture, representing both a source of life-sustaining water and a gateway to the mythical Underworld.

Our tour includes a visit to a secluded cave where you can marvel at the variety of geological formations and gain insight into their millennia-long development. As we traverse 600 meters of underground passageways, you’ll be enveloped in the mystical ambiance of the Mayan Underworld, making for an enchanting and soul-stirring adventure.

This half-day tour combines snorkeling in the Caribbean sea or inlet with an amazing underground river/cenote adventure. You will visit the second largest reef in the world in front of Tankah bay and then a 600-meter long cave, where you can see the different types of limestone formations and learn about the meaning and importance that these cenotes have in these region.
