Highlights
  • Tulum - Use a quality mountain bike to ride through jungle paths & trails during the morning, a perfect mix of nature, exercise and exhilaration.
The trails lead us to the famous cenotes of Tankah - 3 different and unique bodies of water where we cliff jump, snorkel, zipline and canoe.
The trails can be considered easy for experienced bikers and slightly challenging for anyone not familiar with mountain biking. If you are not used to biking much, it is essential to feel comfortable riding a bike and most importantly bring a positive attitude! The guides will put your safety first at all times and we make plenty of stops to rest, admire the jungle, the cenotes and use the bathroom. Total trail time is short and there is opportunity to opt out of any part you might find tricky.
  • Tulum - A Mayan traditional delicacy of handmade tortillas, salsas, rice & beans, veggies and poc-chuc (grilled marinated pork). This is guaranteed to be one of the best meals of your trip, cooked by the locals of Tankah.

Perfect afternoon adventure - We’ve been to Tulum several times and we always look for “new adventure” and found it with this tour. Loved how it was a small group and away for the tourist traps. Pluma was an amazing tour guide. He has such much knowledge and respect for this beautiful land. Favorite part was floating through the mangroves, what a peaceful, wonderful experience. Thank you for great day and perfect way to end our vacation.

Our "difficult to impress" teens' favorite day of vacation! - Our family had a wonderful bike tour of the cenotes with Pluma. Pluma was a knowledgeable, engaging tour guide. Our sons, ages 17 and 14, were enthralled with his vast knowledge of the wildlife in the area and the Mayan culture. The tour was the perfect balance of adventure, learning, and fun. We cannot recommend it enough from families--or anyone! Bravo!

Excellent Tour, Respectful of the Environment, Super Informative! - We did the Mayan Wetlands Tour with Hugo last Sunday. We had wanted to do one of the biking tours, but we waited to the end of our trip to do a tour and the timing didn't work out. The Mayan Wetlands tour included a detailed tour of the Mayan ruins in Muyil, hiking and an awesome observation tower in the Sian Ka'an biosphere, a boat ride through several lagoons in the biosphere, and ended with a float down a Mayan made canal. Fruit, snacks, lemonade and water were included. It was an excellent afternoon! We had specifically wanted to see Sian Ka'an, and as folks who work for an environmental NGO in the states, wanted to make sure we were doing so as respectfully as possible. It was immediately clear that Hugo had a deep passion for the area, it's history, and it's preservation. Hugo was super patient, answered all kinds of questions, and was charming and funny to boot. It was also great to have a small tour group - just one other couple, and an additional person. The five of us had a great conversation while floating down the canal and wound up running into each other several times after the tour as well. All in all, very well done and I highly recommend a tour with Tulum Bike Tours. We're planning on doing the Sian Ka'an bike tour or the cenote tour the next time we're in Tulum.
