In 2019, the Tully River was the host venue for the International Rafting Federation’s World Rafting Championships. Renowned globally, this river ensures a peak rafting adventure, boasting over 40 rapids that surge through a magnificent rainforest gorge. Rated as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully promises an intense, unforgettable journey for those hunting for the ultimate rafting experience in Australia.
We offer two distinct schedules to enjoy the Tully River, which you can view below; these two are identical except for their respective departure times. The Tully River operates on a hydro power system, hence scheduled activities depend on the water release timings.
- Children aged 13-18 years require a parent or guardians counter signature on waiver form
- Please bring lace-up shoes (that WILL get wet), swim suit and towel, a change of dry clothes, and waterproof sunscreen
- Minimum age is 13 years
- Not suitable for anyone who may be pregnant

Raging Good Time!!! - First time going white water rafting and it was so much fun. Paul was a great guide for the day. Super knowledgeable and experienced to help you make sure you’re “locked in” to have a great time.
Please be aware it is a full day activity (12-hour day) and it is a 2-3 hour bus journey to the Tully River. Lunch and snacks will be your responsibility to bring but dinner is provided. Make sure you have plenty of music and/or activities for the bus journey.

From the time of our courtesy bus pick up to drop off, each team members customer service was second to none… you can see the love and loyalty that these guys have to making our day out memorable…they’re proud to showcase their amazing experience that’s for sure…
Safety brief and training on water makes you feel like all bases covered and confident…
You can see just how well run the business is by the teams organisation of such big groups, ten out of ten for the procedures..

HIGHLIGHT OF MY HOLIDAY! - This was my first time water rafting and thanks to our incredible instructor Pauly I had an amazing experience that I will cherish for a lifetime!
Pauly was a great instructor he was very clear and easy to understand when explaining the safety protocols. Thanks to Pauly I felt safe and calmed my nerves into excitement to set off for the JUICIEST rapids on the Tully River!

EPICCCCCC Day Out ✌🏻 - Such a brilliant day out, the pre rafting nerves soon turned to pure excitement as soon as we reached the river.
A beautiful location, well worth the drive from Cairns.
All the staff were so friendly and informative.
Special thanks to Ash & Ethy. Great people to be on the river with. They made us feel safe the whole time and made sure sure we had a fantastic time.
Can't wait to come back and do it again.

Going and flowing down the juicy Tully River - Rafting down the Tully River was so much fun and was a highlight of our East Coast trip. We went during wet season and the rain made the experience even more fun. Our guide Paulie was fantastic and made sure that we had a great time. He was very knowledgable and we learnt a lot about rafting. We gained so much so much confidence going down the river from Paulies words of encouragement! #goingandflowing #extrajuicy

Epic Rafting Day - Great experience rafting down the 12 km stretch. The guides paired us with another group who wanted an extreme adventure like us. We took turns sitting in the front/back through the rapids. It was a day fully of excitement and laughter. Our guide, Mez, was knowledgeable, witty and ensured we had an epic adventure!

Caught the River Rafting bug and can't look back! - Easily one of the highlights of our Australia trip. Rafting down the Tully was truly exhilarating and thrilling! We went in the middle of wet season, which meant that the water levels were high (and it was even raining while we rafted) - but that just made the experience even more fun! The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and make you feel comfortable even when the raft is being absolutely thrown around by the water. After this, all I can think about is when I'm getting back on the river to raft again! Special shout out to Johnny, our raft captain for leading us ably to the end!
