Meeting of Waters - The journey begins when we pick you up in Manaus. We head to Ceasa Port, where we board a speedboat, with a first stop along the Rio Negro river to the meeting of the waters. The trip will continue by car to Ubim Lake. From Ubim Lake, you’ll continue by speedboat on a 30-50 minute ride. Arriving at the lodge, you will be welcomed with refreshments as your accommodations are prepared.
At noon lunch is served and there is a little time to relax and prepare things for this first day’s activities. At 02:30 pm the group will depart by motorized canoe to fish for piranhas, watch colorful birds, and enjoy a wonderful sunset from the middle of the river. After returning to the lodge, dinner will be served at 7pm.
After dinner, you depart again by motorized canoe in search of the elusive Cayman. Your jungle guide will scoop one up, allowing you to see it up close, before carefully releasing it into its natural habitat once again!
