NAIROBI TO SALT LICK GAME LODGE

Salt Lick Safari Lodge - Guests are picked up from their hotel or the airport at 6 a.m. and driven to Tsavo West National Park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The journey offers beautiful scenery in the eastern part of Kenya, with opportunities to see wildlife and experience the local cultural settings. After a 5-hour drive, travelers arrive in Voi town, where they turn towards the main gate of Tsavo West National Park. A game drive is enjoyed en route to the Taita Hills Resort and Spa for lunch, where a variety of delicious dishes are served in a charming dining area. After lunch, guests proceed to the renowned Salt Lick Safari Lodge, check in, and then head out for a game viewing drive. They return to the lodge for a delightful buffet dinner with a breathtaking view of the floodlit waterhole, offering a close-up view of the animals, followed by a restful night. FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN TAITA HILLS SANCTUARY

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - Spend the entire day exploring the expansive Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. This private sanctuary is conveniently located next to Tsavo West, making it easily accessible. The park’s landscape is more lush than Tsavo, and the game viewing is equally impressive. While the sanctuary offers excellent bird watching, its main attraction is the larger animals, which the rangers are usually adept at locating. It’s not uncommon for safari-goers to spot over a dozen species during a game drive.
