Corzano Farm in Tuscany - Our Tuscany truffle hunt and cooking class is a wonderful half-day tour focused on Tuscan truffle.
You will start with an exciting truffle hunt, guided by a truffle expert and by the nose of his faithful dog. Once you have finished you’ll learn how to use truffle in the kitchen preparing a delicious 3-course lunch at an organic farm just a few km from Florence.
Tuscany truffle hunt and cooking class take place in the Mugello Valley near Florence.
This particular area of Tuscany is fortunate enough to produce a variety of truffles throughout the year. Thus there’s always a good chance of finding truffles in our selected areas.
The protagonist of the truffle hunting is certainly the dog that patiently scours the woods sniffing for truffles. Suddenly the dog begins to scratch the ground thus attracting the attention of his master. The truffle hunter instead with his “small hoe” delicately enlarges the little hole just indented by the dog. He then gently extracts the truffle from the ground and rewards the dog.

The highlight of your Florence trip - Words cannot describe this experience.
Carmen, Laura, Johnny & Aquiles made us all feel welcomed.
Agriturismo Corzano is beautiful. From the gardens outside to the cozy interiors, you feel at home.
The truffle hunting was one of the most wonderful experiences ever. Seeing Aquiles at work, under the commando of Johnny was really exciting.
Chef Cristian is a great teacher. Taught us all to make pasta from scratch. Eating it with the truffles was delicious. And the meat at the end, WOW !tender and flavorful.
If you’re coming to Florence, add a day to your itinerary and book a truffle hunting|pasta making with Mugello & Tuscany. You’ll be glad you did !

Mugello Truffle Hunt - What is the magic word? No, not that, its truffles! We made our way north from Florence to the beautiful Mugello Valley in our little Fiat for a day of truffle hunting and pasta making. The star of the show was lago, a 10 year old truffle tracking rockstar who led us through the woods around villa Corzano to find 12 truffles. We wrapped up the hunt with a pasta class where we made 3 different truffle pastas; gnocchi, ravioli, and tortelli. Making pasta is fun, easy, and it is super tasty. Our hosts were wonderful, and we learned a lot about truffles and the business of truffle hunting. This was also my first go at hand-made pasta. I may never buy a box of dry pasta again. Such a good time.

Truffle Hunting and cooking class experience - Would recommend 100%. They provided a car service from the train station that took us straight to the village. The view was amazing, the truffle hunter & the dog were great! The cooking class was phenomenal, we made pasta and used the truffles we found on the pasta.

Unearth this gem of an experience and polish up your holiday! - Every element was sheer delight! From the welcome coffee, to walking out with Iago our truffle-hunting dog unearthing real gems from the soil. Carmen explained everything in detail as we walked - nothing was left to chance! Then into the cookery class with Christian who stripped it back to the basics - how to make fresh pasta, gnocchi and how to appreciate local ingredients used in local recipes. The actual cooking was quick & efficient and many courses! Don’t book dinner out that night as you’ll have eaten enough for one day for sure! Fabulous experience, worth every penny and inspiring us to recreate at home! Thanks to you all!

Best experience that you can do in Tuscany! - It was an awesome experience. I enjoyed every second. Paolo showed me the most beautiful places in the region and made sure I experienced the real Tuscany. Also, the food was delicious and I learned a lot about how you cook in Italy. Highly recommend! - Paolo picked us up in Firenze and made the trip feel so quick as he told us about his family, the area and the countryside as we drove. Carmen and Johnny were amazing as we hunted for truffle and the kids were so entertained as the hunting dog excitedly dug for the truffle that he located. We then prepared a delicious meal with Lorenzo who was incredible with the kids and the cooking as we enjoyed the freshest truffle-based meals I have ever tasted. There was so much steak filet that we could only eat one of the four but it was delicious! They have rain gear and boots in case of some rain which did not dampen our experience at all. Easily the highlight of our trip! Would absolutely recommend!

Truffle hunt and a picturesque Tuscan farmhouse experience - If you’re going to be in Tuscany for any length of time, book a day for the Truffle Hunt Experience with Mugello & Tuscany, with your host Paolo. It’s an extraordinary experience through the woods with a trained truffle dog and his owner. Don’t worry about inclement weather, raincoats and boots are available. A few hours hunting and you return to a picturesque farmhouse for your pasta making and dining experience. Our party of five learned the basics of making excellent pasta. And being served your own pasta with the truffles that were harvested. Wash that down with a glass of Tuscan wine and you and your friends have had a memorable day. And don’t forget to purchase their on site olive oil.
