Additional Information

Eysturoyartunnilin, an astonishing submarine tunnel known for its unique roundabout created by the renowned artist Tróndur Paturson, takes the lead in being the first of its kind worldwide.

SNÆLDAN, a Faroese yarn manufacturer, spins everything from scratch using local materials, offering the opportunity to purchase native knitwear.

The bridge connecting Eysturoy to Streymoy is locally referred to as ‘the bridge over troubled water’, offering pedestrians an exclusive vantage point to observe the current’s movement.

Tinganes, one of the world’s oldest places where parliament convened dating back to the 800s, still has some civil servants operating there.

Then there’s Kirkjubø, Streymoy’s southernmost village, where we can observe the ruins of the Magnus Cathedral from the 1300s, the Saint Olav’s Church from the 12th century, and the old farmhouse Kirkjubøargarður from the 11th century.

Amazon no tour - I highly recommend this tour, it gives you a good overview of the Faroe Islands. Our tour guide Heini was very good. He took us to the main spots at the Faroe Islands.
