Trou d’eau Douce - Your spectacular Catamaran trip to Ile Aux Cerf (Full day Including Undersea walking, GRSE waterfall, 3 course lunch) begins with a hotel pick-up at your accommodation anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet and be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off to Trou D’eau Douce, a fishing village nestled on the East Coast of Mauritius.

Arriving at Belle Mare 08.45 A.M, Your will start your trip with with the undersea walk activity at Belle Mare beach. This wonderful experience will allow you to stop time, forget everything and only look around enjoying the moment and the magnificent view of wonderful aquamarine species in their natural habitat. Take a walk into the coral reef garden, feel the sensation of an underwater walking tour inside the reef. Discover the large variety of fish and appreciate the rich flora and fauna of the Mauritian lagoon through its crystal clear blue water.

Grande Riviere Sud Est - After the Undersea walk activity, you will board to your Catamaran to enjoy this memorable catamaran cruise from Trou D’eau Douce to Ile Aux Cerfs. The catamaran cruise starts at 09:45 a.m., departing from Trou D’eau Douce on the East coast of Mauritius.

The crew members will ensure that you have an enjoyable time, and they will be happy to tell you about local tales, jokes, and to play local Mauritian music which will lift the spirits of all on board.

Then, you will head for a visit to the waterfall at Grand River South East before setting sail for the island of Ile Aux Cerfs. When reaching the Grand River, you will go by speed boats to visit the waterfalls which are found about 500m upstream. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see the curious monkeys jumping through the big old trees on the river banks.

Following the visit to the waterfalls you will head back to the catamaran.

Ile Aux Cerfs - The catamaran will then sail inside the crystal-clear water of the lagoon until stopping for a snorkeling & swimming break where breathtaking coral reefs & tropical fish are on prominent display.

Snorkelers will have a lot to discover, where they can get a glimpse into the beauty of our underwater world. The Mauritian lagoon is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking coral reefs & marine life ever to be seen- you will get to see the amazing marine life, full with hundreds of bright-colored fish.

After snorkeling you will enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch set on the beach or on the catamaran. We served a 3-Course menu and this include, vegetables & Rice or Pasta salads along with Grilled Garlic bread. For the main Course we served Grilled chicken, Sausages & Fresh fish. For dessert Grilled banana. You’ll also be treated to a selection of locally unlimited drinks, including soft drinks, Juice, water, beer, wine & local rum.

Ile aux Cerfs - Then, you will be heading to Ile aux Cerfs Island which is a beautiful island near the east coast of Mauritius. This amazing island is the perfect setting for a relaxing day of sun worship. As you approach the island by boat, you will see the swaying palm trees and the pure white beaches framed by the vivid turquoise waters.

At Ile aux Cerf, there are a varieties of invigorating activities are awaiting you such as parasailing and Tube Riding.

Trou d’eau Douce - After doing your activities, you can take a stroll and absorb the pristine natural environment, sit back and relax on the white sandy beaches. Add on speedboat - The undersea walk took longer than expected and we were late getting to the rest of the event so we had missed the boat and it had gone without us. However they had stopped for a swim and the Dock crew sped us out to meet them in their speedboat. Full marks.

Great day with good music, good food and great activities - We try the undersea walk activities for the first time and it was an amazing experience seeing plenty of fish. We had so much fun in the catamaran, especially the crew raj. Great day with amazing people, good music, good food and our driver keshav again which we really appreciate his effort to make us reach on time.

Great day out - Pick-up from the hotel was more or less ontime... there had been a little confusion with some other guests who were booked with the same company but going on a different tour at the same time as ours. This held us up. But nothing that ruined the day. As we were staying at the Southern part of the Island and the tour operating from the East, the journey was around an hour before the first part of itinery started. Inititially there was a little bit of confusion with what we were going to be doing first. After the driver spoke to someone we headed to the underwater walking area. We were the first guests of the day so it took a little while as they set everything up and we headed over on a boat. It was a very different experience, but one i was glad to do. The guide under the water gave over some food to hold out for the fish to eat from your hand... that lasted a few seconds as the sensation was a weird one! After this we headed back to the speedboat departure area that took us across to the island. Again, there was some waiting around at this point with not much information as to how long or which boat would be ours. Eventually more guests who had been to other parts of a tour showed up and we got on pur way. Our driver said the waiting around is common and he had fed this back to the tour oporator as well. If they could better join up the times for this part, it could be a more slick and seemless day out. As it was good weather by this point too, it would have meant a longer time to enjoy being over on the island. Anyway, once on our way and over on the island we had around an hour to explore / relax before joining the catamaran. The island has some great beach areas with plenty of space, plus a bar, restaurant and toilet facilities. The catamaran was ofcourse the highlight. The crew onboard were attentive at making sure everyone had a drink before we even set sail. I would say it was fully booked on our tour, but with the good weather, most people chose to lay out on the outside and enjoyed the sun and scenary. The food was good. As a vegan i actually managed to even have a decent plateful with salad, rice and pasta all being available. Extra meat such as the chicken, tuna and sausages and anything else left was also encouraged by the crew to be used up. There was a little waterfall excursion mid-way through and then there was time to get into the sea. As it was a hot sunny day, practically everyone took advantage of this. Although if you preferred to stay onboard with a drink, that was no problem too. After about 2 hours on the catamaran you head back to the main island where our driver was waiting within a couple of minutes to take us back to the hotel. All in all a great day out. Some piecing together of the times a little more or a more set out itinery could make the trip even better, but perhaps theres just a reason this cant be done. Remember to take your towel, swimwear and suncreams 👍

Catamaran and undersea walk - We did the undersea walk first, they were a bit behind but soon got us going the guys were helpful and we really enjoyed it. The catamaran was great fun with a real party atmosphere on board. My only complaint was the taxi driver was pressurising us to book him direct for more trips and insisted we go to a shop to earn him points but we had to stay for 15mins minimum. All in all it was a really fun day would recommend.

A real deception - The under sea walk was a nice experience, the staff friendy and helpful. We had chosen the catamaran and not a speedboat to enjoy more of the views but the constant loud music spoiled our experience. Is it a way not to guide at all? Staff on the boat did their own work and answered questions but didn't give any general information.

The trip would be good if I wasn't cheated - The trip was supposed to include Undersea Walk but neither driver or catamaran crew were aware of this. We didn't receive what we paid for. I am giving 2 stars because the catamaran crew were absolutely great.

Disappointing, great... - Disappointing, great transfers and under walk experience but over loaded catamaran trip and lack of communication. Guides do try to accommodate everyone but difficult when numbers too high. Dropped at island with no ides of how long and when to be collected, boat 1,5 hours late - apparently a boat broke down - numbers very high, felt safety was compromised.

A frustrating day, with lots of hanging about - Undersea walk was good, but driver picked up the wrong guests from the hotel to leave for that, not us! So we were left hanging around for 45 minutes at the hotel reception and were late getting there. ( the tour advertised leaving at 0815, but had a message moving it to 0845. This meant our catamaran trip to the island, had left when we got to the Dock. Had to wait over 90 minutes to eventually get on the boat we booked... very disappointed as was no way our fault. We asked to postpone that part of the trip because of this to another day, but we're told if we did that we would need to pay again. Not great customer service and very disappointing having paid for a 7 to 8 hour experience. We actually got on the catamaran around 12.30 and we're dropped back at 4pm... not what we expected and paid for. We have used viator in the past with no problem, but this tour operator is not reliable, so my best advice is dontbook this trip, as they cannot accommodate what is named on this tour description. It was not spectacular and by the time we had wasted 90 minutes sat waiting, we were understandably angry and feel cheated by this trip
