Can’t fault our experience. So good we booked another activity with Blue Safari 👍❤️ - What a great team and a great experience. We had the best time. I read some reviews that people didn’t have enjoy it that much, but we decided to do it anyway as we don’t get too many opportunities like this and it was amazing! We were lucky the water was quite clear and there were so many fish about. I guess that’s the nature of the ocean, sometimes it’s clear and other days it might be a little murky. The crew were super helpful and were able to help us even though we only speak English (as the speak French as a first language). Nothing was ever too much trouble. Thanks!! We looked into some of the other options Blue Safari offers and also booked a catamaran tour which far exceeded our expectations too. Definitely recommend!

Dive into the deep - an amazing experience! - Blue Safari submarine dive is a unique, breathtaking adventure that you shouldn't miss when visiting Mauritius!! From the beginning, Blue Safari's staff were professional and took a great deal of care for our safety. The pre-dive briefing was informative and boosted our anticipation for the dive ahead! When beneath the waves, we were met with an array of tropical fish, and even saw a sea turtle!! Staff were knowledgeable about marine life which made the experience so much more interesting! I was slightly worried as I am prone to seasickness, but the smooth operation of the submarine made this unforgettable experience that much better! Hats off to the entire Blue Safari team! We had the best time and will absolutely be back!!

Original and fun outing - The submarine being stopped for maintenance, we headed towards the underwater scooter exit. We were supervised by a very professional team. A big thank you to Vivian who accompanied us underwater and reassured my wife who is not necessarily comfortable with the water. So of course, this experience at 3 meters cannot provide the same underwater encounters as the submarine but it remains an interesting experience due to the technique used (feet and torso in the water and head in an air bubble) and the sensations provided. The opportunity to practice this activity in Mauritius is to be seized!

20 mins dive but 2 hour slot..? - Great experience in the subscooter as not many get to say we drove a subscooter but the driving is not the best, all of the time someone is over you moving the scooter, you cant move up or down only forward which can cause some crashes like we experienced. Visibility was not the best when in water at the time we went. The pressure when going down in the water was quite painful for the ears to start but then improved. Less than 30 mins in the water so all in all you have a 2 hour slot of which more than half is getting changed, briefing , travelling to the place where the subscooter is kept. Oh not to mention dropping off someone from the office to another boat for an errand before heading to our location, i guess they were trying to be efficient...? He needed to drop off the fanta for the other boat, its hot in mauritius. We understand. Paid £137 for one scooter for 2 people. If you think its worth it after reaing the above- book it.... Have fun

Not well managed - The sub-scooter did not have an air line. Just a rope tethering it to the floating vessel. At the end of 20 minutes, the air pocket that you breathe from becomes stale, devoid of oxygen. They do have an emergency air cylinder, my companion felt the need to use it after about 15 minutes. The sub-scooter itself is low powered and difficult to manoeuvre. There is no feeling of being in control. On the day we went, the water was murky, visibility was low. The Overall experience was very much below expectations. What was really disturbing us was the casual manner in which one of the attending SCUBA attired "safety divers" plucked a small octopus off the sea bed and after "handling it" held it up against the glass bubble of the sub scooters - to "show us" It was only after all of repeatedly insisted that he release the animal that he let it go.

Disappointment galore - cruelty to wildlife. - I assumed that the Mauritius Sub scooter adventure would allow me to see the underwater environment in all its grandeur. What I witnessed was simply awful human behaviour. First, the visibility on the sub-scooter was poor, so my friend and I couldn't see anything. The controls clogged a few times, and the diver practically pushed our sub-scooter everywhere to show us around - even though nothing was visible. To make matters worse, he grabbed a poor octopus from somewhere and began turning and twisting it around for fun, believing we liked it! We were both upset and started pointing at him to put the poor animal down, but he persisted with his circus of showing the octopus to the other sub-scooter riders, who were plainly astonished and outraged as well. Finally, a large amount of bread was strewn around the sub-scooter to attract the zebra fishes, which are the only fishes you will see. What good does it do to feed those fish bread? Is this their normal diet? Why are they endangering animal life while complaining about the Dutch, British, and others ruining Mauritius' fauna and flora? Overall, a really negative experience. I strongly advise you to skip it rather than cause those fish and other animals to suffer for your enjoyment.
