• Stiftsgarden - Stiftsgården serves as the royal residence in Trondheim when the royal family visits the city.
• Byåsen - From this viewpoint in the Byåsen area, known locally as “Sverresli,” you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.
• Kristiansten Fortress - Wander around this 17th-century fortress, originally constructed to protect the city. Relish the beautiful views of the river Nid and the city center.
• Nidaros Cathedral - Nidaros Cathedral is Scandinavia’s most beautiful and impressive cathedral and the best-preserved Gothic structure in Northern Europe.
• Old Town Bridge - We will cross the iconic red Old Town Bridge, also known as the “Portal of Happiness.” It offers the best view of the old warehouses along the river Nid.
• Bakklandet - We now proceed through the Bakklandet district. On the other side of the bridge, we will find the world’s only bicycle lift.
• Trondheim Torg - The city’s heart is the market square, featuring a statue of the city’s founder, Olav Tryggvason. This area is home to many restaurants and the main shopping mall.
• Britannia Hotel - Our walk concludes at the Britannia Hotel, which brings a touch of “Wall Street” and “5th Avenue” to the city center.

With this combination of coach and walk, we will enjoy the third largest city in Norway from different perspectives. We will start our adventure with a 2-hour city tour by coach from Pirbadet, near the the cruise terminal. We will head to Solsiden, a charming and vibrant district and pass by the colorful boat and warehouses along the river Nid. Hotel Britannia and the royal residence Stiftsgården also a must-see on this tour. We’ll make a photo stop at the Sverresli viewpoint with a wonderful view of whole Trondheim. From here we’ll head to Kristiansten fortress, where we’ll make another photo stop. The walking part of the tour will start at Nidarosdomen, the beautiful, northern-most cathedral in Scandinavia and the best-preserved Gothic building in Northern Europe. We will enjoy Bakklandet with the small colourful houses, we cross the Old Town Bridge and have a look at the bicycle lift, the unique one in the world. All this followed by interesting and amusing stories of our guides.

• The itinerary of the tour depends on weather and road conditions. In the case of a weather-related road restriction, an alternative tour will be organised.

• The tour starts at Pirbadet parking lot. The bus will be parked there, it will have “Trondheim City Tours” logo in the windshield. The guide will wear a green jacket with “Trondheim City Tours” logo on the back.
• Please note that the bus will continue on time after the stops and cannot wait for any tardy participants. The departure times will be announced by the guide.
