The water is located on Tromsøya, 96 meters above sea level, and covers about 75 acres.

The garden exhibits alpine plants and flowers from all continents, even some that usually grow in attitudes of 7000 MSL.
• Skansen - The oldest house in Tromso, built as a customs station in 1789, is surrounded by smaller houses. The foundations are the remnants of mediaeval fortifications, possibly from the 13th c., which today appear as a small park.
• Polaria - Housed in a very distinctive building that represents ice floes that have been pressed up on land by the rough seas of the Arctic, you will discover Polaria.
