Experience the storied past of Tromsø as the planet’s most northerly brewing centre and familiarise yourself with the distinct tastes of the Arctic.
This is the ideal excursion for those with a fervor for, or curiosity about, premium beer. We’ll explore Tromsø’s historic town centre, tour two bars and a boutique brewery, and taste 10 locally sourced beers and Arctic tapas in a traditional, warm setting that’s deeply intertwined with Tromsø’s seafaring history.
Along the journey, we’ll take in a range of the city’s most significant landmarks, including the world’s northernmost cathedrals, historic wooden buildings, and another local microbrewery. We’ll even discover the area in Tromsø with the highest concentration of local attractions!
The tour culminates at a typical local watering hole, its ambiance echoing the nautical history of our city. Here we are treated to sample the last of the total 10 Arctic microbrewery offerings, accompanied by a spread of Arctic tapas.

Definitely recommend - We had a lovely day out with Benedict! He was very knowledgeable and insightful not only about beers but local knowledge, history and politics! We had such a nice time, had plenty of drinks to try and the tapas was nice too!

Unique experience - Lovely experience with many tasting of local beers and unique tapas. Enjoyed very much. Some walking required but not far. Some local history offered during walks.

Fantastic tour! - This tour was absolutely fantastic! The knowledge and history on Tromsø from our guide was everything we were after, without him even knowing he had answered all the little things we had been curious about from our own walk around the town the day before. The beer of course was delicious and the bars were absolutely beautiful! Such a great tour to go on if you want to meet new people, have great chats, fantastic beer and to learn more about Tromsø!! Highly Recommend! - This small beer tour was a great activity while in town! You get to learn a lot about the history of Tromsø and its buildings and beer. Wonderful tastings with a knowledgeable guide. Very relaxed and easy going thing to do! Highly recommend if you have the time!

Great first day in Tromso. - We had a great first day in Tromso with Bernherd. He was very knowledgeable about beer and answered all our questions about the city. We went to 3 beer venues; however, he did point out others he would recommend and a few rooftop bars. It was a great day and a great way to start seeing the city.

Great bars & even greater beer - we absolutly loved the tour. The Bars are very unique with some great history and (of course) very good beer!
You definetly need to bring a scarf from your favourite football club for the Railstation Bar. 5 out if 5 for this amazing tour!

Tremendous Tromso Tipple Tour - The guide was very knowledgeable about beer in general, the beer we were drinking, and the sights of Tromso as we walked around. He answered all of our questions and was very friendly. I highly recommend this tour as a way to get some delicious beer, a quick walk around town, and meet like-minded travelers.

Good beer and interesting Arctic tapas - Great information shared by the guide Astrid. Tour includes a lot of various beer brews. Not enough food/nibbles provided for the quantity of beer. The Arctic tapas of reindeer, seal, whale and salmon were good.
