The #1 thing you should do in Tromsø - Our family had an incredible time with Davide — I would urge *everyone* to work this into their Tromsø experience, if you can! We stumbled across The Nature Bow Game by total chance. Nobody in our group had taken archery lessons before, but Davide broke things down for us in a way that was so fun, intuitive, and approachable — and we were all shooting confidently (and safely!) in no time, despite our varied levels of athleticism. Davide is such a natural teacher, who was patient and attentive throughout; he gave us the perfect introduction to a new sport, set within a beautiful wooded environment. What to expect: After conquering the basics of archery, you’ll jaunt off deeper into the forest for your first “hunting” trip, where you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for targets (woodland creatures made of foam) through the trees and shrubs. Without giving too much away, the targets were set up in a way that truly felt like an adventure. Not to mention the views — this all happened against a stunning backdrop of open waters, hilly landscapes, and grassy knolls. We didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Halfway through, we took a break together to picnic on biscuits and hot tea, which was a welcome treat in the crisp weather. We really couldn’t have asked for a better lesson. Our group made the mistake of not wearing waterproof shoes (whoops, don’t be like us!), but that didn’t take away from our experience at all. Davide made up for our lack of preparation by loaning us rain jackets and wooly socks, which helped us enjoy the course even more. If you’re feeling nervous about trying something new, no need — Davide is the most generous & encouraging instructor, who worked to bring out the best in each of us. Another plus: The Nature Bow Game is Davide’s very own passion project and still fairly new, so your booking will support a smaller local business :) Thank you for a great day in Tromsø, Davide! We’ll definitely be back!!

A must do activity if you’re in Tromsø - Right from the booking this was a great adventure. The tutor Davide was so friendly and enthusiastic, it really made the day. It’s not like anything we have done before but with great scenery, great tuition and a fun game at the end this is definitely an activity we would recommend.

A truly amazing experience - The activity and the idea of mixing hunt and hike are amazing! You have multiple targets all along the hike, with particularities for some of them. When you think this you're at the end, and you've done all the targets, Davide continues to surprise you. The hunt is really immersive, I've never done a real one, but I felt it was one. As suggested in the activity description, go there with waterproof chose, it's a must. Regarding the tour guide, Davide, I had a really great time with him. We discussed and laughed the whole hike. With less than one hour of archery lesson, he taught me how to make very precise hits. He's super enthusiastic. We had such a great time that we decided to have lunch together after the activity. He brought me to a nice place, and we had a campfire next to the water. All in all, I strongly recommend this activity, you'll have a great time!

Lovely first archery experience - Absolutely lovely guide/instructor, very patient and positive in teaching the basics of archery. Once the basics are taught, a fun hike is organised with targets placed along the way. Had a great time!

Amazing times in the woods of Norway - I had so much fun running through the woods of Norway with bow and arrow. Tonje was incredible with all her knowledge about archery, viking culture and history and Norway in general. The day was well spent and I even hit some targets although I was not really experienced with bow and arrow. Don't worry - you won't shoot actual living creatures. But if you have time and want to be active around Tromso I would totally recommend to book this tour. You will not just have a lot of fun in the forrest but also learn a lot about the history and culture of the country, too.

So much fun - Great afternoon out in the forest hunting animals ( fake animals don't worry), before the hunt began we were all shown how to safely use the bow and arrows, the instructors gave clear easy to understand directions, so after about a half hour of training and practice we set off into the woods to hunt the prey which was so much fun trying to find the targets....then trying to hit the targets, all the while being surrounded by nature and amazing scenery... by the end of the session my aim had actually gotten better 😃, will definitely do this again, highly recommend if you come to Tromsø.

Fantastic Experience - This was way better than I expected. I've never picked up a bow and arrow before but with the help of the patient and knowledgeable guides I was soon feeling confident. It was a pleasant surprise that I rediscovered my competitive nature. The feeling of exhilaration when my arrow whizzed its way into the target was fantastic. Being outdoors in the beautiful nature and taking part in this fun, interesting and engaging activity is something I highly recommend.

Excellent fun for friends - I went to try The Nature Bow Game on the 17th of June this year. This was one of the best afternoons I’ve had in years. In the beginning, a group of me and 3 other friends were introduced to techniques of how to hold a bow and arrow safely. This followed up with practicing to aim at the target. As this was my first time shooting, given follow up after every shot and during was brilliant. Davide taught us how to stand, hold the gun, where to look, and when to shoot - excellent instruction. Tuition delivered with deep knowledge interspersed with humor! After we felt more comfortable with a technique, we went on a journey in the woods where the actual hunting game started. It was loads of fun for all, exceptionally engaging. The whole group loved the gamesmanship and learning. Being immersed in beautiful Northern nature and experiencing something new was an amazing experience. I would strongly recommend this activity to anyone. Thank you Davide, you are great!

A great and exciting day out! - Davide was lovely and super helpful. Very kind while booking and met us at the bustop to take us to the wild woods of Tromsø! His instructions to get there were great and easy to follow. Archery was fun! The way Davide taught us was clear so we felt a lot of satisfaction and fun as we improved and shot the animals. The tea and biscuits were a lovely touch that made us feel very homely! Archery with nature bow game was rewarding, fun and exciting! With a relaxed, just have fun and be safe atmosphere it was easy to enjoy. Next time I am in Tromsø I will join Nature Bow Game again!
